Golden eyes gaze at the full moon rising over dried autumn grass and wilted flowers on this fine scroll signed Shuso (Hotta Shuso). Pigment and light color on silk in a patterned silk mounting with bone rollers. The scroll measures 19 x 78 inches (47.5 x 192.5 cm) and is in overall fine condition.
Hotta Shuso (1894-1954) was born in Nagano prefecture and studied under Ikegami Shuho, settling in Tokyo. One of his best students, Shuso later became leader of Shuho's Denshindo atelier...

A worker makes his way through the autumn tinged hills, home just a few steps away in this brilliant Nanga work by Hashimoto Kansetsu enclosed in the original signed wooden box which is in turn enclosed in a red lacquered wooden box (Nijubako). Light color on silk mounted in a superb frame of blue silk with patterned with dragon dials and featuring large ivory rollers. Description:

A white-glazed bottle vase was nicely mold with narrow neck and was applied on the shoulder with two loops.
Motifs of plum flowers and leaves were well shaped and squeezed to the sides.
The glaze was in milky white tint and was suffused with crack lines.
It was in perfect condition despite the abrasions were happened to the edges.

A very rare piece of lacquerware, comprising a big container with lid in the center and twelve narrow containers around it, each with a stopper in the shape of a nat (good spirit)and decorated with the Burmese zodiac. Made in the Pagan State, ca. late 19th to early 20th century. H. 31 cm , Diameter 28 cm. Condition: very good, with expected age wear.

This toddler's pants were used by successive siblings and probably several generations of Chinese Miao ethnic minority children. The pants are of handwoven indigo dyed fabric and the legs are decorated with handwoven tape which is sewn into place by hand. The pants are crotchless, which was typical attire for very young children throughout old China.

Pair late Qing dynasty porcelain bowls. Overglaze decoration in blue and green enamel of peonies. Also decorated with inscriptions in gilt enamel and chop marks in red enamel. The rims an intentional, attractive caramel colored burnt biscuit. Apocryphal Qianlong seal marks in blue under the glaze. A Yaozhou bowl was mold in curved rim.
Well carved with floral motifs on the surface outside the bowl, the bowl was stand on a circular foot ring.
Padding grits were preserved at the bottom when incursions were happened to the mouth rim and on the ridges of the patterns where the glaze was thinner.
It was in perfect condition.
Iridescent effects were reflected in the glaze.

A hand carved antique wooden mask of Tenko or the nine-tailed Kuuko, heavenly White Fox (kitsune) which do good, wrapped in a modern silk bag and enclosed in an antique black lacquered wooden box. The mask is roughly 21-1/2 x 17 x 20 cm (8-1/2 x 7 x 8 inches) and in excellent condition. A cartouche bearing the artists signature can be seen inside the black lacquer within. A pair of Jianyang tea bowls were in nice oval shape.
In great condition, the bowls were yielded in the glaze with enduring-old crackles.
On the bottom, the foot rings were revealed with smoothen body clay which were caused from the age.
In favoured and sought-after hare-furs effects, the wares were characteristic Temmoko bowls from Jianyang kiln, hard to find in such lovely size and in such charming look.

Attractive Kashmir tea service with handles made in the shape of a serpent. Consisting of a sugar bowl, cream jug and teapot with hinged lid. Rare example of Yuan dynasty b/w dish, slight thinly potted if compare with this similar medium size, decorated with large lotus panel medallion in the center, the rounded cavetto with continuous lotus scroll and the foliate rim encircled with classic scrolls pattern. Condition is broken and re-glued like indicate on the pictures and about 30% missing area, found at East Java Trowulan Indonesia. Diameter: 31 cm.

A spectacular set of bira-bira-kanzashi hair pins in the form of cranes among blossoming plum and pine formed of silver which come enclosed in a custom made silk-lined wooden box. Two are 13 inches (33 cm) long, the other is 9 inches (23 cm) long and all are in fine condition. According to a label inside the box they are from Akita City in Northern Japan, sold by Takeyaso Hon-ten. The box is 15 x 17 x 5 inches (38 x 43 x 13 cm). A black-glazed Cizhou jar was uniquely decorated on the surface with ribbed lines.
It was a characteristic type of jars of Cizhou wares.
More uniquely, there are Chinese characters "Chang" which most likely as Chinese last names were inscribed on both loops.
They were finished by ribbed techniques.
Accordingly of the names, the jar was believed a custom-made ware by noble people.
It was a more valuable piece then.
