Here is a lovely and sparkly Victorian brooch, in the form of a crescent moon on a knife-edged bar. At each end of the bar is a ruby, and in the middle is a cluster of 8 diamonds centered by a pearl. The moon is set with 21 round and cushion cut rubies, and 19 diamonds. The diamonds are set in silver, and the rubies in 14k rose gold. Description: A Yinquing ewer or water dropper was kept with its original cap. Produced from Jindezheng of Jiangxi province, it was an exquisite Qingbai(bluish white) porcelain manufactured in one of the Hutien kilns. On the surface, when motifs of flowers were framed with 16 different sectors, subtle pinhead incursions were randomly spread in the bluish glaze. It happened to the surface of the cap too.
