Chicken Water Dropper, with everted liprim, decorated outside with chrysantemum scroll, flower on the shoulder and a band of small circles around the foot. Unglazed base. This is similar with the item on the Chinese Blue and White Ceramics by ST Yeo & Jean Martin, Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, 1978, page 134 plate 35. Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Kraak Porcelain Dish (20.5cm / 8")

This highly decorative and attractive "Kraak" porcelain dish was made at the Jingdezhen kilns during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. The pattern, in underglaze blue of good colour, features in its centre a winged insect amongst various plants and blossoms. Surrounding this are eight roundels containing, alternately, peach blossoms and precious objects...

 

Charger covered with green celadon glaze and decorated with animal on the center and floral on the cavetto. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 36.5 cm wide. CONDITION: excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.

A very nice and unusual painted of blue & white dish which found in South-Sulawesi, decorated with a large flower blossom to base within double circle. Condition is good with two hairline cracks, only one with a chip to inner side of mouth rim, further in very good condition. Ming dynasty late 15th to early 16th century, Hongzhi period. Diameter : 31.6 cm.

A bizarre pottery mass of two tea bowls and a stand fused together after collapsing in the kiln some four hundred years ago. It is 17 x 13 x 11 cm (6-1/2 x 5 x 4-1/2 inches). There is something to be said here about best laid plans. All the potters craft and experience and yet nature intervenes, creating this vitrified sculpture for later generations to contemplate.

Rare Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Dragon, Phoenix, Fish, Peony

This rare and unusual "Swatow" (or "Zhangzhou") blue & white porcelain bowl was made during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573 - 1620). The underglaze blue decoration around the outer wall features a dragon, a phoenix and a peony. The inner design features a leaping fish amongst waves. Rare huge polychrome Kangxi charger, decorate with red-yellow-aubergine flower motif, barbed medallion, red and yellow peonies with leaf scroll decorate the rim bordered with multicolor lines and diapers.
