A late Yuan - Early Ming (Hongwu) period blue and white bowl, rounded side with slightly flared mouth rim and unglazed base, bowl decorated with under glaze blue of flower scroll motif.
Bowl is in good condition, no chip, no crack, no restoration, crackled glaze at the surface, semi porcelain.
Size: 14 cm diameter.

The pear-shaped body rising to a slender neck with a pronounced flared mouth, covered with black glaze to the foot; unglaze base. Song Dynasty, 19 cm height. A minor nick to the rim, no chips, cracks, or hairlines and free from restorations.

These two sterling (vermeil) figurals by Trifari have been dancing since the 1940's and they are still full of energy. Rare to find a pair like this. Male: 1 3/4" tall, 1 3/8" at widest. Female: 1 3/4" tall, 1 1/4" at widest.

Beautifully photographed on p.97 of SPRATLING SILVER by Cederwall/Riney. Author Phyllis Goddard writes on her site spratlingsilver.com "this spoon represents a combination of Spratling's favorite design motifs...wrapped silver wire, intertwined and incised loops and silver ball." Spratling described it as a sugar spoon.

In 1912, after moving from their native Hungary, Edmund Boker and Ernest Gould formed the Chicago Art Silver Shop. A pair of Jizhou tiger toys were excavated in original condition.
It is very hard to find genuine Jizhou wares with tortoisshell glaze.
It was unique too to find them in pairs even though they're dolls.
And most importantly they were in obvious condition for authentication.
The buried deposits were firmly left here and there on the surface.
And the glaze were partially crackled due to age.
The body clay were light brownish with soft matrix quality...
