Japanese plique-a-jour cloisonne enamel vase densely decorated with a bouquet of flowers set against a celadon green background. Chrome rims. Dates from the Occupation period (1945-1960). Measures about 3 3/4"H x 3" diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a faint interior stress crack at the shoulder that cannot be felt (see enlargements 6 and 7). Striking sterling overlay ring by Hopi master jeweler Victor Coochwytewa who began producing in the 1940's and is one of the most celebrated jewelers in Hopi history. The ring is a size 7 3/4 and the face measures 1 7/8" long. It is in fine original condition and signed with his raincloud symbol as well as the Hopi Guild mark. His work is highly sought after and rare to find. This is a very fine example of his talent.

A 17th – 18th century Neko-tora Tiger by Nagasaki school artist Watanabe Shuseki performed with ink and color on paper in yellow bronze silk border with bone rollers. The parchment is aged and gray, giving the sense of a wall painting in some ancient tomb. The scroll is 14 x 63 inches (36.5 x 160 cm). One of Salvador Teran's most impressive creations, the "Dancers" are the epitome of modernist Mexican jewelry design. Pair of Chinese yoke back arm chairs. Late 19th century. Shanxi province. Elmwood. Dimensions: 43.5 inches height x 25.25 inches width x 22 inches depth. Seat height is 19.5 inches. Each chair has a back splat with carved figural panels. Condition: repair to break on one arm, replaced glue blocks on undersides of seats, some scuffing to one side stretcher on base. Structurally sound.

Large Federal style giltwood girandole mirror with convex glass, surmounted with a fully figured, carved and ebonized eagle with outstretched wings above an acanthus leaf crest. Early 20th century. Size: 42 inches width x 11 inches depth x 55 inches height. The convex mirror measures 22 inches in diameter and is encircled by bands of gilded balls and ebonized stars, between four girandole electrified candle arms. This mirror is in excellent original condition and has modern wiring.

A bronze Shakyamuni buddha was kept in very good condition.
Had been gilt on the surface but just faded, there are only traces left in the pleats.
It was rarely found that the under cover at the bottom was original when tickling sound was heard inside the hollow base.
It hinted that the original devotion items were still kept within after 600 years.

In earlier centuries, large numbers of "holy men" wandered throughout India's cities and countrysides. The Sadhus were respected as Hindu ascetics who had given up family attachments and material possessions often including clothing. Without shoes and wearing only hand hewn sandals they would wander about some silent and some preaching. Miss matched, this is a typical pair of Sadhu's sandals, hand carved and well worn and polished through years of foot contact.

Pair of patinated bronze argand lamps by John B. Jones of Boston, MA. Each lamp has a floral finial and an urn-form fluid reservoir. Circa 1830-40s. It was in perfect condition.
There're carving lines on the handle. They were not cracks.
Minute wood grains were yielded as shallow cracks at the bottom.

Fabulous hand made sterling and #8 turquoise ring by notable Navajo silversmith Mark Chee. Active from the 1930 - 60's, he was a benchsmith for Frank Patania and is considered one of the most important Navajo silversmiths of the mid 20th century. This rare ring is a size 7 1/2 and the face measures 1 1/4" long and 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and the spectacular stone is free of chips or cracks. Signed as shown. When carefully examined, the shaped body of this antique ceremonial Tibetan snuff container appears to be animal horn. Decorated with silver and bronze fittings, coral, turquoise and agate beads, this snuff bottle or more accurately, snuff container would have been worn suspended from a chain as a costume ornament by a shaman. A Longquan cup was rarely found with the original cap.
In light-tinted celadon hue(Fenqin), the ware was reflected with retrospective sheen in the glaze when darken firing effects were yielded on the body clay at the foot ring.
It was in very good condition with some crack lines observed in the cup and some imperfections of the glazing.
