A nice well made Tibetan prayer beads consisting of 108 bone beads and three pink mountain coral. Two leather counters with ten silver rings each ending with silver inlaid with coral and turquoise. The bone is most likely yak but could also be human. Size:Total length of the necklace 52cm. Each bead is 1.2-1.3 cm in diameter. Condition: No repairs. All original.

A Chawan tea bowl by Goho with calligraphy work by Yamada Mumon enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The calligraphy reads Mi-Do, The Way of Taste, followed by Mumons artistic signature (Ka-o). The bowl is 4-1/2 inches (11 cm) diameter, 3 inches (8 cm) tall and in perfect condition...

The character Kotobuki followed by a playful verse crying Watashiya kyujukyu made (Longevity, I live to 99). Ink on paper enclosed in a subtle cloth border befitting Zen art. It is stamped Taishitsu (his art name) and enclosed in the original signed wooden box with the same inscription on the lid. The scroll measures 10 by 73 inches (26.5 x 185 cm). There is some cupping in the scroll, otherwise in fine condition...

A nicely carved natural amber pendant of the hand of Buddha citron with a hole at the top so it can be worn as a pendant. The citron fruit may be given as a religious offering in Buddhist temples. According to tradition, Buddha prefers the "fingers" of the fruit to be in a position where they resemble a closed rather than open hand, as closed hands symbolize to Buddha the act of prayer. Size: H. 3.7cm. W. 2cm. Condition: No repairs, chips or cracks.

Description: A Ming Longquan Li-typed censer was kept in very fine condition. Well mold and heavily glazed, the tripod censer was in typical lake-green tint when whitish ridges were on the body along everted feet. Charming crackles, pinpoints condition and darken hue in portions verified it a true old piece. Brownish red was obvious in the center of the cavetto where the body clay was revealed...

This antique shield is an artifact from the Dutch War with the Atjeh (now Aceh). In short, the Dutch colonial government considered Indonesia "theirs". The indigenous people, the Atjeh, on the Northern part of Sumatra, disagreed. The war began in 1883 and extended into 1904 when "peace" was declared.

This large war shield, made and carried by an Atjeh warrior, has a double layer of woven Rattan with circles of 6 pointed metal stars and brass pins...

Pierced Leather Travel Liquor set, in the style of Jacques Adnet with varying sized randomly placed circles, holds two liquor bottles. One is a decanter of blown glass with a top and bottom of bright chrome, with two shot glasses under the cap; the other is a bright chrome thermos (glass insert) with a rubber gasketed plastic stopper. There is a small ding in the cap of the thermos, which is difficult to photograph...

This pair of Kingfisher hair ornaments are from my personal collection. The kingfisher bird feathers are in very good condition and the ornaments are 4 inches across at their widest point. Each piece has its original hair pin attached to the paper back with a wire.

A matching pair of Shaker #3 rockers from the Mount Lebanon, NY community. 19th century. Each chair bears a '3' branded on the upper back slat, and one chair displays a Mt. Lebanon manufacturer's stamp on the third back slat. Excellent condition, retaining an old pecan colored finish and with woven beige and blue cloth tape seats. There is a minor split to one leg where it joins with the runner (but still structurally sound). Dimensions: 34" ht. x 19 3/8" width x 25" depth.

A commanding silver cross with wirework and applied silver beads on attached original chain by William Spratling. The cross measures 2 3/8" long and 1 7/8" wide. The chain is 22 1/2" end to end . This cross is featured on page 150 of the catalogue from the William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance exhibit "MAESTRO DE PLATA". Fine original condition. This piece is from the Cambridge,MA. Gerrish estate, makers of Squirrel Nut Candies. It is truly beautiful.

Flora in heavy pigment decorate the gold leaves of this two panel Rimpa screen dating from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. Tinges of red bring a brush of Autumn to the various grasses and flowers. Heavy veining on the gold as well, evidences the age and brings to vivid life the scene in the fore. The screen has been restored at some time in the distant past with some repairs performed then, and is bordered with patterned blue silk in a natural wood frame...
