This man's quilted hat would have been worn in northern China. The pattern of the quilting on the crown of the hat suggests a mongolian influence. The long sides and rear flaps are heavily padded and are each extensively quilted with a large flower and diamond background. These flaps would be worn down to protect the neck from the bitter wind, or tied up on milder days days. The silk on the outside is in excellant condition...

The 14 petal Imperial Chrysanthemum forms a triad emblazoned in gold on the lid of this exquisite mizusashi fresh water jar by Imperial Court Artist Ito Tozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box dated as having been received in June 1911. Blue & White bowl, decorated outside with four Phoenix on flight and flower scroll inside the center, mark on base. Early Ching Kangxi Period (1622-1722). Large wooden prayer beads from Lhasa with nine glass bead spacers and two leather counters with ten silver rings each ending with silver inlaid mountain coral and turquoise.The wooden ones are made from the wood of the Bodhi tree where Buddha received his enlightenment. A superb pair of Tokkuri sake flasks by LNT Tokuda Yasokichi III (Masahiko, b. 1933) enclosed in the original signed and stamped wooden box. The slightly belted form seems to imitate a gourd, with glaze fading up from rich purple to green to deeply crackled white. Each piece is 6-3/4 inches (17 cm) tall, signed on the base in a traditional Kutani cartouche Masahiko. A blue & white large dish, decorated to the center with a deer in landscape, found only on this Swatow family, the sides decorated with a diaper border in Jiajing style. Exterior with floral pattern, adhere to the foot rim with sand grit as known as typically of Zhangzhou ware products, Ming dynasty late 16th to early 17th century. Condition is two flake chip at rim (one visible on enlargement 4), no any crack and free from restoration. Diameter: 27.5cm.

Large Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Ewer

This wide-bodied porcelain ewer was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is particularly "heavily-potted" for its type. It has a "kinked" spout, a wide loop handle and two decorative loops on opposite sides joined at the shoulder and neck. It is coated in a fairly thick greenish blue glaze that is crackled in places. The base remains unglazed revealing the creamy-white body.

Description: A camphor wood arm chair was originally made in Taiwan in the late 19th century. With beautiful design, this chair was used to be put on the main side of a living room in pairs which were called Tai-Shi-Yi, the lord's chair. In heavy weight, it was tenoned firmly and preserved very well with original warm patina. There're only some decay at the front rim side. Height: 97.5cm width: 54.5cm x 47cm
