Created in Frank Patania's Thunderbird shop, this box is a beautiful example of handmade Zuni art. Measuring 4 1/4" X 3 1/4" X 3/4" the piece weighs 166 grams. Carved onyx, turquoise and mother of pearl are inlaid in a silver frame to form the dragonfly. The bold hinge design is often seen on Frank Patania boxes. They work smoothly. We have a stunning pair of matching cuffs from the Mexican Silver Renaissance with a grand height of 5 inches. Beautiful cabbage roses with leaves adorn the treasure. The wrist is 2.25 in. and up the arm it is graduated to 2.75. It can be made somewhat smaller or larger. I would say it is set for a medium wrist with air to flow comfortably.
