Spectacular design and execution in this sterling and turquoise ring by Santo Domingo silversmith Julian Lovato. He began working in 1938 and was a silversmith for Frank Patania Sr. in the Thunderbird Shop. This ring was made during his time working there. The ring is a size 9 and in fine original condition. Beautiful handmade vintage 1940's sterling silver, amethyst and turquoise necklace designed and signed by Mexico artist Matilde Poulat. Poulat signed her designs MATL. Necklace measures 20" long and 1 1/2" wide. Each of the 18 panels and clasp is accented with bezel set pyramid and rectangular amethysts and barrel cut turquoise stones. You can’t get lost with this very unique fob/pendant in the shape of a compass, from the early 20th century. Alternating oval and round heavy gauge chain-links form the frame around the actual working double sided compass. The width of the pendant is 1” and the height is 1 3/8”.

Characteristically and famously a leaf pattern was applied in the cavetto.
By greasy-feel quality belong to the Jizhou glaze, the surface was spread with subtle crackles which were caused by the age.
The body clay revealed at the bottom was in soft and loosening quality which was in line with the characteristics of the dated Jizhou wares...

Vintage Margot de Taxco sterling silver astrological pendant necklace, this one is for the Leo in your life and like all Margot's zodiac jewelry, sculptural and heavy. I have paired the pendant with a substantial, hand-wrought Mexican chain of the same period and the two look like they always belonged together. Arizona Modernist H. Fred Skaggs was the mentor of Hopi silversmith Charles Loloma and this sterling and lapis ring surely has the design elements and impeccable craftsmanship that influenced Loloma . This ring is a size 7 and the face measures 7/8 " by 7/8". It is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the beautiful lapis stone. Signed as shown. We are offering this gold wash Matl Salas snake made in the Spratling era with an eagle mark as shown in the picture provided. The coils are well spaced with none missing. The snake has a wonderful patina and shows a burnished color of gold with silver tips in the coils from wear that just look better and better with time. The light that is strongest in the pix make areas look lighter or darker on the snake but it your hands the color is even through out. These snakes made by Matl really need to...

Far Fan made quality chain mail jewelry and this bracelet is a superb example of just that. These stones are all original to the bracelet, all have warmed the same tone of teal and all have no chips or cracks. The length is 7in. long and the width is a wide 2 inches. This bracelet has a large presence and the thickness of the chain is also important weighing in at 107 grams heavy. A great example for any collector in love with early Spratling era silver.

Valentin Vidaurreta was a designer during the Spratling era and many collectors believe the very best of all. His work as in this treasure is stunning.
