Measuring 12 1/2", and finely cast in bronze, this figure represents a Faun or Satyr, one of the followers of Pan, and the original was discovered in the ruins of Pompeii in 1830.
With good detail, and true to the original statue, this one has a dark patina, with verdigris visible around the head primarily, and some wear to the patina on the body.
Of nineteenth century original, and most likely a Grand Tour souvenir.

A dragon rides in a swirl of movement atop this silver and damascened Koro incense burner by Chosa Yoshiyuki. The sides are decorated with images of plum and pine. The bottom is signed Yoshi-saku, and bears the stamp 900 delineating the silver content. It is 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, 3-1/2 inches (9 cm) diameter and in fine condition, enclosed in a period heavy kiri-wood box.

Los Castillo design # 142 is a very early design with a hefty 117 grams and a wearable length of 17inches. It was necessary to restring this necklace in order for it to be enjoyed for another 70 years. In the early years many items strung on threads does bear this style of clasp. The center medallion is 3in. x 1.25in. The design is an overlay of exceptionally thick silver. It has a beautiful patina and is a pleasure to wear with no damage. This Los Castillo necklace is signed on both the chain and the drop. The chain is studded with black stone beads dispersed between barrel beads and is 20 inches long without the drop. A ghoulish character from the Otsu-e pantheon, the Oni no Nenbutsu, a devil in priests robes, stands grinning, hammer in one hand to bang his bell and a ledger in the other in which are noted all the peoples sins. This figure is carved of wood and covered in lacquer and mineral paints. Dating from the 19th century (Later Edo period) it is 13 inches (33 cm) tall. There are some losses to the pigments accentuating the antique feel.

Rare Large Chinese Han Dynasty Burnished Pottery Amphora (206 BC- AD 220)
A superbly conceived design; jars of this general type have been found in excavations dating as far back as the Spring and Autumn Period (770-475 BC). Although perhaps not obviously Chinese in design, this type of vessel is one of the most iconic forms of Han Dynasty pottery and is thought by many archaeologists to be anthropomorphic, with the shape and "swirling" design of the main body based on the female human form....
This art Deco bracelet consists of alternating gold and amethyst links. The nine high quality natural rectangular emerald-cut amethysts are prong set in four prong settings and each measure 9 X 7 millimeters. The length of the bracelet is 7 ½”.

Pigment on silk in a fine brocade border extended with beige and featuring ivory rollers enclosed in the original signed double wood box (nijubako). It is 26 x 56 inches (66 x 143 cm) and is in excellent condition. This is signed with his later art name Kanyu. We can see in the style as well, here he has adopted a very western watercolor approach, that this is one of his post-war works.

We have a rare bracelet with a maker's signature Meyers Silver offered today that exemplifies heavy repousse and drop dead gorgeous style. The hallmark is noted in THE LITTLE BOOK OF MEXICAN SILVER TRADE AND HALLMARKS by Hougart.
