A very rare Ming hair ornament made of four jade goldfish and a cicada held together by gold wiring made up of a butterfly and floral design. It originally had turquoise colored king fish feathers inlaid in the design.It also has the original metal wiring holding it together. Size: H. 5.5cm. W. 5cm. Jades average 2 cm. Rare and unusual sterling Art Deco design bracelet by Margot De Taxco. I had never seen this bracelet before and it may have been custom made. It measures 6 3/4" around in the inside and is 1 7/8" wide in the front and 1 1/2" wide in the back. It is in fine original condition, weighs 121 grams. Signed and numbered as shown. From Yunnan Province, this minority hand woven open container has wonderful age and patina. The wife said it was used at family dinners for pouring wine, the husband said used for pouring tea. I just smiled and nodded in agreement. The piece was obviously woven tight enough to contain liquid. There is a small piece of bamboo inserted into the basket spout which aids in controlling the flow. Condition is very good and the piece measures 8" x 5" high.

Featured on page 172 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk, this is the Female Dancers Bracelet by Los Castillo, c.1940-45. Very rare and exhibiting magnificent detail, it measures 7 1/2" end to end and is 1 3/4" wide. I am unsure if the clasp is original or perhaps a replacement although it has the same patina as the bracelet. Weighing 78 grams, the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed and numbered as shown. A large ancient tiger's tooth that has almost turned into stone. Found in Southeast Asia. Teeth like these were used as pendants by ancient people in Asia. This one is about 2000 years old and is in fine condition with a lot of the enamel still remaining. Can be worn as a pendant.

A charming sterling and white and silver fleck enamel necklace, bracelet and earring set by Margot De Taxco. The double flower design is feminine but bold and it is so nice to have a matching set. The 100 Bird Cape is sometimes mistaken by Westerners as a Miao baby carrier. In fact, the 100 bird cape is a man's garment. Fabulous pale green genuine apple jade beaded necklace with a white gold filigree clasp with a lovely genuine opal cabochon. Circa 1930. The clasp is marked 14K. The jade beads are a nice size at 9 millimeters wide. Handknotted with matching pale green thread; the stringing appears to be original and is secure. This is a museum quality and large amber glazed pouch ewer from the Liao Dynasty (907-1125). Tall and handsome, it stands on a flat splay foot rising upwards to a bulging side body with a long vertical spout with foliated mouth rim and a rounded handle instead of the pinch handle. The whole pouch ewer is coated with dark amber glaze on a white colour slip stopping short of the splay foot rim showing the red colour stoneware. The stoneware pouch ewer simulates a leather form of the pouch.

This Japanese Fireman Hanten is made of hand-loomed Sashiko weave cotton fabric. This was the fabric of choice for the firefighting jackets because they could and would be drenched with water to keep the fireman safe from the flames while fighting fires. This piece is hand sewn and has clearly been heavily used. It has several holes and patches. When I got it years ago, it smelled badly of wood smoke...I did wash it to get rid of the smell.

This is a small Tang Dynasty funerary sancai or tri-colour tea cup. It stands on a flat and small footrim and then everted flat and vertically upwards towards and everted mouth rim. Fabulous vintage 1960s 14KT gold and genuine Persian turquoise pierced hoop drop earrings. The backs are marked 14K ATL and the other elements test positive for 14KT gold. The gold has a slight rosy tone. With Persian turquoise beads and tiny coil shaped elements strung on hoops, with gold balls at the top posts. Very classic and modern and super wearable with everything, day or evening.

Description: A Temmoko bowl from Jianyang kiln of Song Dynasty was excavated rarely with metal wrappings around the mouth rim. Fragile of the wrappings, the bowl was in beautiful hare’s-fur glaze. This elegant pair of 18Kt yellow gold leaf shaped earrings are accented by prong set rubies in the center. The hallmarks are 18Kt and Italy as well as a makers mark that looks like a stylized "H".
