The feldspar covering this unusual torn and ragged Incense Burner by Hayashi Shotaro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Manyosai Koro . Marbleized pinks, molten iron blending with rust, moss green and everything in between can be seen in this amazing onslaught of color. His designation “Manyosai” comes from the ancient selection of poetry named after the infinite shades of fallen leaves. We can easily see in this piece how he chose the epithet.
