A rising star in the pottery world, Yamaguchi Makoto was born in Seto, Aichi prefecture in 1978. In 2000 he was apprenticed to Hiroshige Kato (Kasen Toen). In 2004 began exhibiting his wares and has held many solo exhibitions at Department Stores and top galleries throughout Japan.

Guinomi covered in rivulets of flowing ash in the front and the backside with a pale brown color. the Tokkuri, shows a flash of light strikes out on the front and the neck. Like staring at the burning wick of a candle it makes all around it seem dark. An exquisite faceted Bizen vessel by Ningen Kokuho Isezaki Jun enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Bizen Kuro Ana-kuri Hanaike (Formnig Holes Black Bizen Vase).
