This piece comes off like it has been buried in a volcano, incredible igneous encrustations cover the sides, with molten ash, bidoro, goma, kutsuki and a host of other firing enclosed in the original signed wooden box. To one side a crescent moon shaped kutsuki forms a rakish grin, inviting the viewer to join in the merriment. It is a masterpiece by this young artist.

A Spectacular Bizen Tsubo dripping with ash glaze by Yukuyoshi Manabu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Bizen Yohen Tsubo (Kiln altered). The rim is covered in built up black ash, which grows more liquid as it enters the burning embers on the side, and is blasted around in rivulets to the back where it has created two shadows of raw earth where another pot was in close proximity.
