How sweet and adorable is she! Red hair, red cheeks, body very firmly stuffed with cotton. Jointed shoulders, elbows, hips and knees so she sits easily. Her big eyes looking, slightly up, melt you the same way as when dog looks at you for a bite of your steak. The repair on her mouth looks like they put a band aid on and then took it off years later. This little bottle doll has a dear sweet up turned face that radiates sunshine. She is as found with an outfit that looks like she acquired it as life went on, piece by piece; very endearing. She is on her original sand weighted bottle. She is 12" tall and is circa early 1900's.
A man and woman black cloth dolls with composition heads. They were not made by the same person but they were sold to me as a pair and they are great together. She is 24" and very heavy. He is 27 " and is tall and lean with cool clothes. I think they are both from the 1930's. Both have early and probably have original outfits also the sun fading on the woman skirt looks like she had a different apron. They are in very good condition. A terrific pair of black dolls.
Here are two very small Civil War dresses measuring just 20". They are all hand sewn, the fabric is wool and silk I think, and as fine and thin as tissue paper. It is amazing that even though the have been worn and have a couple little mends, they look almost new. The fabric is strong with no shredding or signs of wear. They look wonderful hanging. C. 1860's.
Not all dolls that are 17" tall look 17" tall and this in one of those dolls. Her stockinette body, while it is curvy is not big, it is softly stuffed and small around. My index finger and thumb go around her waist and touch. Her face kind of looks embroidered in pictures but it is a really nicely painted. It is not fragile even though the paint has body to it, maybe it is an oil paint. Under her painted mouth she has a two stitch mend. Her hair is made with, astrakhan, a lambs wool trim...

This wonderful perfect tiny penny wood doll in original dress and hat and painted red shoes on her tiny wooden legs. She is so tiny I have trouble picking her up. She is 1" tall with her dress just a little longer and her hat a little taller she is 1 1/2" all together. The round Dresden box is 3 3/4" in diameter and is1" tall. It has blue wall around the sides and other than a couple of scuff marks it is in good condition...
This is an amazing home made black boy doll with the sweetest face, the best posture and corn cob legs. He feels like he has a solid wood inner core. I bet the maker of this boy was pleased as punch to find a good use for a couple of old corn cobs...

Baby is a big heavy plump doll, all original body and painted face. She has on a dress that fits perfectly but probably isn't original. Her face is worn a little but no damage, maybe it has darkened with age?
I think she is the best baby. Nice defined fingers and separate thumbs. She has lost a lot of stuffing in her arms, I don't know how, and her legs have black stockings sewn on but everything feels right and original
