A very uniquely shaped broach/pendant is this 14Kt white gold filigree shell cameo from the 1920-s depicting the silhouette of a young lady. Art nouveau elements are incorporated in the designs of the cameo carving as well as the shape of the broach resembling a flower basket. The 1 7/8” wide and 1 3/8” high broach has a fold down bail that makes it wearable as a pendant.

Each of the petals is subtly sahded from rose gold at the edges through shades of yellow and finally, to a grayish gold (possibly platinum) where the petals join. An interesting 10K Victorian pin in the form of a mythological creature coiled around a flame-like pillar. The creature appears to be an Ophis, a winged serpent from Greek mythology said to guard the myrrh fields of ancient Arabia. The monster grasps a seed pearl in it's jaws.
