A classic Victorian 14K yellow gold fob seal, the surfaces ornately decorated in a repousse pattern of flowers and foliage. Fobs in this design are more typically English than American. It is very generously sized to make an impression when being worn. The citrine plaque is engraved with the monogram “WKV”, so we’ll just assume that was for William K Vanderbilt (LOL!) A wonderful Art Nouveau stickpin depicting a native American warrior chief in 14K yellow gold. The man’s beautifully detailed face is surrounded by long hair and a feather war bonnet, the band centered by a small bead-set old European cut diamond. A quiver of arrows is slung across the chest. The pin is marked “14K” and has the maker’s mark for Krementz.

Lovely GEORGIAN inscribed gold mourning brooch with pearls, black enamel, and braided hair covered by crystal. It says on the back "FANNY LEONORA KAYE DIED MAY 26th 1847 AGED 14 YEARS" in beautiful script. There are letters in gold on the black enamel surrounding the pearls and braided hair. An amusing late Victorian brooch fashioned as two crossed golf clubs. The shafts are worked in 18K yellow gold, while the heads are made in platinum. A small pearl, representing a golf ball rests against each club. Sporting jewelry is quite desirable, and golf-related pieces are particularly rare. The back retains the original pinstem and c-clasp. Stamped with French hallmarks.

A 14k yellow gold asteroid pearl and diamond stickpin or tie or cravat pin circa 1890. This 2-1/4" long pin has a 5/8" x 1/4" top with a claw-set natural 3 mm. pearl and a claw-set genuine round antique cut diamond. This pin shows both the fascination at the time with the solar system, many stickpins had moon, stars and planets at the time, and the shooting star had romantic connotations as well, which made it a suitable sweetheart or engagement gift...

A nicely detailed 14K gold anchor pendant. In Victorian jewelry, the anchor was meant to convey a sense of hope, security and steadfastness. This classic example is enhanced with a detailed spiral or rope and sharp prongs. The piece is large enough to wear as a pendant or could be used as a charm on a chunky bracelet. Stamped “14K.”

This pretty ring consists of a flower made of six pearl “petals” (one of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a lock of hair, but no glass. The ring tests as a very strong 14kt, so it is probably 15kt (and therefore English). Cobalt blue enamel decorates the shoulders, which we’ve had touched up – this ring was obviously very well loved, and it’s still beautiful! Size 6. Early Victorian or late Georgian...

An exceptional 18k yellow gold Victorian diamond and genuine sapphires ring dated 1890. This wonderful survivor features an oval rose cut diamond measuring 20-22 points by gauge flanked by four genuine cornflower blue sapphires. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1890-91 and it has the English registry cipher mark (unsual to find on jewellery). It weighs 3.6 grams, it has an A.A maker's mark. Antique 10 kt gold engraved horseshoe pin with deep salmon branch coral intertwined. Measures 1 inch high. Acid tested. Dates late 1800's.

A wonderful early Victorian portrait locket worked in gilt silver and set with hundreds of Bohemian garnets, including a 10.2-carat rose cut oval at the center. The garnets are set with space between them to lighten the overall effect and better show the bright red coloring of the stones. The locket is suspended from a garnet-encrusted clover shaped bail. A beautifully delicate design is this 10Kt gold amethyst and seed pearl Victorian openwork pendant. The center of the pendant is a bezel set 5 millimeter round faceted amethyst, while the cascading garlands on either side are decorated by forget-me-not-s. The length of the pendant is 1 ¾” and the width at the widest part is ¾”.

The knot motif in Victorian jewelry signifies the unending bonds of love, so there could be no more fitting design for this exquisitely-made 18K yellow gold hair locket/brooch.
