This impressive copper cuff features a Precolumbian-style face surrounded by two levels of hand-applied copper wirework. The round plaques supporting the central design, as well as the cuff band, have crimped edges. The band exhibits a textured surface and has retained its original shape. The entire bracelet appears to have been hardly worn, though does show some minor oxidation or light coloration from the construction process. Overall, the cuff has the deep brownish color of aged copper...

Circa 1960 mid 20th century modernist fan rectangular station copper bracelet signed REBAJES for Frank Rebajes, the most successful modernist jewelry manufacturer of the mid century. Born in the Dominican Republic in 1907, he came to New York in 1923 to seek his fortune, establishing his own factory in 1932, and his own Fifth Avenue store in 1942.

According to published reports Winifred Mason Chenet was an African American woman hand crafting jewelry in Greenwich Village. She worked with and trained Art Smith, a well respected African American modernist jeweler. She believed that each piece should be unique and distinctive.
These earrings have two parts, the top is smooth polished copper and the bottom has a coiled brass overlay...
Rosette-shaped, with extensive white metal wirework on the front. There is a secure C-clasp on the back, as well as a hinged bail for wearing as a pendant. The piece is probably Chinese. It is marked Hand Made on the back and measures 2 1/8 inches in diameter. Weight: 25.6 grams

This 1960s-70s wide copper bangle bracelet is unsigned, but nicely designed with four applied discs around the exterior for a clean, modernist look. It is sturdily constructed, thick enough so the shape is intact, and with a quality spring hinge and a small tongue and groove type of feature at the terminals to keep the pieces in place when closed. An unusual piece of repousee work in copper. This belt is made of 17 panels with Middle Eastern designs. Measures 26 1/2" long and 2 1/2" wide. Hook closure holds securely. Signed J. Simmons 1945. Well crafted and substantial. Warm patina. A very unique piece of handicraft.
This clamper bracelet is circa 1940's. It measures 4" from top to bottom. The hinge is 3/4" long. I have not seen many Mexican, of this type in brass. The design is wonderful. The colorful abalone looks lovely in brass. The inside is marked HECHO EN MEXICO. It is in great condition.
