Very large, rare, and heavy gauge sterling pin by the famous woman Mexican silversmith, Victoria (Ana Brilanti), c. 1945. The original geometric Mayan design measures 4" wide and 2 1/4" long and the applied silver provides the exciting foreground against an oxydized background. Impressive Jugendstil silver brooch with a cabochon cut garnet. Danish, c 1900- 1905, designed just before the Skonvirke period. Marked C.S. for C. Sorensen in Copenhagen (1893-1937) and 830 for the silver content. Width "1 ¾ / 4.8 cm. Condition: fine.
Twin fish necklace in amethyst and brass signed MAYA MEXICO after a design first introduced by Hubert Harmon (c.1940-50). This necklace will comfortably fit up to a 15 inch neck. The two fish and amethyst drop measure 5 1/2 inches across. Both fish have an amethyst eye and a faceted amethyst stone extending from their tail. A single amethyst cab hangs between the 2 fish. Each brass chain measures 5 1/2 inches.

Beautiful vintage sterling earrings with tear drop shaped, bezel set, deep red coral. These have clip backs and hold secure on the ears. Lovely floral design with silver drops between the stones and twisted wire around the center stone. They measure 1" by 1" and weigh 13 grams total. The story of this Mexican Deco silver and turquoise hinged bangle is an interesting one. When it came to me, it had a rather hastily applied gold plating that looked both out of place and, should I say?, garish. I cannot understand why anybody would do such a thing yet many a time, in discussions with older bench jewelers, I have been told that a few decades ago this was indeed a trend of sorts...

A Mexican sterling silver and amethyst cabochons bracelet circa 1930s 1940 This 7-3/8" length and 5/8" wide bracelet is a classic Mexico design, and the gem stones are genuine. This bracelet is stamped STERLING 925 TAXCO with a 3 eagle mark. It weighs 18.2 grams, it has a box clasp, and it is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, but there is a tiny triangle shape gap on one amethyst. It doesn't appear to be a chip from damage...

A pair of sterling silver screw back earrings in a mid century modernist design. We have seen only one other pair in almost the exact design signed Ed Wiener. Constructed of a layer of oxidized sterling with a contrasting polished curved sterling wire overlay.
The earrings measure 1 1/4" high and 7/8" across and hold securely. They are marked with Sterling, hand wrought and a partial W in a triangle. The screw part is marked Sterling.
