Striking, hand made, and large sterling MAYAN face BOLO made by MIGUEL and sold at RANCHO ALLEGRE, the largest silver shop in Taxco, during the 1960's-70's. The design shows a darkened silver background which highlights the shiny silver face, decorative element, and edge. The bolo measures 2" wide by 1 3/4" long and the decorative silver ends measure 1 1/4" long. The black fabric tie measures 39" long and has a small wear spot to the fabric but can be worn with no trouble or weakness...

Made of interlocking solid box links, this sterling silver chain has a sturdy feel and appears to have been hand-assembled. It has a novel W-shaped clasp. It is unmarked, but tests as sterling silver. The links are well designed and have a smooth, snake-like movement. The chain measures 26 ½ inches long, unclasped. The links measure about 1/8 inch thick. Weight: 28.1 grams

Composed of a trapezoidal enamel center of a red-orange and black mottled design, within a pierced cast sterling frame of geometric designs. The frame is of irregular width and is enhanced with oxidation. The C-clasp is secure; the matte-finish back is marked ”STG. This lovely bracelet is decorated with white guilloché enameled rectangular panels alternating with similar square ones featuring dark blue flowers. The silver is highly gilded; the tongue-and-groove clasp is original and in good working order. The bracelet bears the mark of Norwegian maker David-Andersen. It measures 7 ½ inches long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 24.5 grams

Composed of adjoined silver circles with overlaid oval textured panels, this bracelet embodies all the elements of superb Italian design. It is secured by a hinged latch closure that is quite clever and very secure. The bracelet bears the Italian silver mark for 1944-1968, Arezzo, as well as what appears to be a maker’s mark of LOA. It measures about 7 ¼ inches long by ¾ inch wide. Weight: 33.1 grams

Not much is known about Industria Argentina, except that they produced exceptionally designed and crafted jewelry in the 1950s and '60s. This weighty silver ring is typical of their purist modernist aesthetic.

Size 6. Marked "Industria Argentina, Buenos Aires," and hallmarked 900 for silver fineness. Quite substantial at 11.9 grams. Excellent vintage condition.

A modernist cast sterling silver pendant in a 'pitchfork' design by noted Mid Century silversmith Christian Schmidt, (1926-1974). Signed with his stylized 'S' hallmark and Sterling. Measures 2 3/8" long and 7/8" across. Three dimensional curved design. Interesting contrast of dark textured patina on the sides and polished surfaces on the top. Would look great on either an neck ring or chain.

This lovely brooch / pin has a diameter of 1 1/4". The faceted, purple stone is bezel set, with a nice circle design. The back is marked STERLING DANECRAFT (with an encircled "R" (for Registered Trademark). Danecraft began making Georg Jensen, Danish inspired die-stamped copies of Jensen's jewelry. This piece is in excellent condition.

Typically innovative design from revered Finnish company Kupitaank Kulta. This unusual sterling silver tension setting suspends a complex moss agate cube over a sterling dish.

Marked with the Kulta 'anvil' hallmark, and "925S" for silver fineness. The pendant measures a large 2" x 7/8" and weighs 21.8 grams. Excellent condition.

It appears to have a lacquered finish to keep the silver bright, and is marked 925 on the back of one rectangular link. This is a small pin, but its design reflects both charm and sophistication, with overlapping strands of sterling silver terminating in a smooth, fused surface. It is beautifully oxidized, which gives the piece depth, and nicely sets off the 6mm coral bead. The pin is marked ‘phyllis’ and sterling on the back, for modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. This sterling silver pendant features a ‘space age’ design with a center amethyst cabochon. The surface is textured and oxidized for a whitish patina; there are a few tiny spots of oxidation. The amethyst is securely prong set. The back of the pendant and the bail exhibit a 925 in a cartouche with the words ‘Industria Argentina,’ which roughly translated means Made in Argentina.
