Reminiscent of the Renaissance Revival style, these intricately decorated earrings are set with central chrysoprase cabochons surrounded by faceted green glass stones. The earrings test as silver, date somewhere around 1930-1950, and are most likely .800 silver. Modern sterling silver posts have replaced screw back closures that were marked ‘SIL.’ Each earring measures ½ inch across and about ¼ inch deep.

This is a Los Castillo design made by Hilario Lopez who worked for several Tallers through his career(of which one was Margot de Taxco) and he was an accomplished Maestro. The construction is open backed repousse but it is framed in heavy silver making a respectable 80 grams heavy. There is lots of bead work executed on this design and it is in impeccable condition. If you could find an original Los Castillo of this rare design it would cost at least twice what this one costs...

This Mexican sterling tiger eye & serpent pendant has a large honey-colored tiger eye cabochon in the center. This cabocho is bezel mounted. It is hallmarked "POM" in a Taxco 925 Mexico circle with a separate Eagle 1 assay stamp. It is in super fine condition. This pendant is 1 1/2" square. The bail adds 1/2" to the overall length. This mid-century Abraham Paz bracelet is a work of art.
Paz was a master silversmith who, like Valentin Vidaurreta, produced work for Fred Davis. Much of this work was hallmarked with the FD mark for Davis. This pin is well made, evoking movement with elongated, stylized leaves. It is marked on the back VikingCraft and sterling, and has a secure rollover clasp. This smart bar pin features loops on either side of an oval cabochon chrysoprase. It has a nice heft, and the stone is securely bezel-mounted. The back shows a sterling mark, as well as an unidentified maker’s mark of T&B or K&B. The rollover clasp is in good working order, and the stone is very slightly scratched.
