Alovely Brooch by the famous Taxco Silver Artist Hector Aguilar features two stylized flower blossoms along with a curved leaf on curving stems. Crafted in Aguilars favored 940 silver which give the silver a lovely rich patina. It measures 3" wide by 3 1/2" long and weigh 18.6 grams. Hallmarked Taxco, HA, 940. This is a chunky modernist piece executed in almost pure 97% silver. The moonstones are magnificent, exhibiting a beautiful blue adularescence when the light hits it. It has a seamless appearance when closed, as the push button for the clasp is topped with a moonstone.

Vintage Spratling era reminding one of Aguilar, et al, hand tooled dense pin brooch with a 6mm green ish turquoise cab simply stamped: MEXICO SILVER. Although could be a higher content - the weight is dense as with many early pre assay jewelry. Early wide C catch. By one of Spratling's or Aguilar's contemporary silversmiths no doubt.
