A striking and colorful bracelet with sterling wire wrapped caged raw stones by Modernist Arthur King who had a shop on Madison Avenue in New York City in the 1960's. The stones include rose quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, and topaz. The bracelet measures 8 1/2" end to end but the hook clasp can be linked to an inner ring to make the length shorter and have the end stone dangle which may have been the intent of the maker. This piece is in fine original condition and weighs 43 grams...
A classic Ed Wiener design, 'Alien', in a two layered sterling silver pendant. Measures 1 7/8" long and about 1 1/4" wide. Marked Ed Wiener Sterling on the back. Has a large bale so will accommodate a thick chain or neck ring. In very nice condition. Great mid century design.

We have an early cuff and earring set that is marked with only Mexico Sterling. The filigree is thick and heavy. The frame going around is firm. The curls are precise and great care was made for the prongs that hold the stone to have the feel for the rest of the design with filigree loops. Leaves with a pretty patina adorn the back of each side. Please ask and I can send pictures of the markings. The gap is 1in. and the height is a huge 2.5in. tall. This is a substantial set weighing 74 grams...

Enrique Ledesma high sheen Mexican silver work of art weighing 50 grams and having a height of 7/8th of an inch. My pictures truly can not capture the beauty of this bracelet. In my hands the obsidian is BLAZING and I could not get one photo of it. There are reflections in the pictures, no loss or damage. An excellent example of Ledesma workmanship at a time before lazers were used to cut the jewelers stones.
When I first saw these very old Margarita signed Vintage Mexican Silver Earrings I thought they were incredible and very special. I went back again and again to see them as the price was extremely high. After more looking I really felt these were not just rare but monumental. They are 3.5in. long and 1.5in. High. One photo shows a slice from the side and you can see there are cut out layers. I do not know how but when you put these on they are comfortable...
A sterling silver link bracelet by Guglielmo Cini. Measures 7" long and 7/8" across. Hook clasp holds securely. Marked G. Cini Sterling. In very nice condition. Nice weight and well crafted.
Cast as a lion's head and upper body, this ring is especially compelling for its intricate detail. The lion's mane continues from the head down to the ring's shoulder, and the tail rises from the band on the opposite side. It shows hardly any wear; the patina on the lower band suggests there is some age to the ring. The ring is unmarked and is sized to 6 ½; the lion's head measures about ¾ inch wide and ½ inch high. Weight: 9.5 grams
A vintage gilt sterling silver pendant necklace depicting a pair of seated and opposite facing dragons (or possibly gryphons or chimeras, not obvious) c1930s. This double dragon 2-1/8" x 1-1/2" pendant is stamped only STERLING. It comes on a 22-1/2" sterling gilt or vermeil rope chain with a ball end and a spring-ring clasp (so it is adjustable as to length). The bracelet is 7 inches long and .75in. tall. THe earrings are a perfect match to the links size at .75 tall. The necklace is 16in. wearable and the drop measures 2.25 across and 2.25in. tall as well...
This silver pin evokes the late Arts and Crafts era with its hammered-look surface and serpentine vines, though it is definitely later. The applied coral-colored glass bead centers offer a nice splash of color. The hooded clasp completes the artisan look. The piece was probably made during the late 1950s-1960s to imitate the popular Scandinavian aesthetic of the time. It tests for silver, but not definitively for sterling, so could be European in origin. It is unmarked. The pin measures 2 1/2 in...
These mid-century earrings are composed of rectangular and concave gilded sterling silver plaques enameled in a deep blue with a linear design under the glaze. The blue shows much brighter than in the images and more of a contrast with the two raised ridges of gilded sterling that decorate the center. They are secured by screw backs in good working order, and are signed Balle 925 for Øystein Balle of Norway. They measure 1 inch long by 3/4 inch wide. Weight: 10.1 grams
This double-hinged bangle, a mid-century design by Sigfredo Pineda, features a central oval amethyst cabochon, framed in sterling silver and highly polished. It is surrounded by two sets of slender sterling silver bands enclosing it like fingers. The bracelets band is in three sections, with a soft patina from age, and the two hinge pins are very secure. The push-down clasp is in good working order, and there is a long, delicate safety chain attached by soldered rings. The inner band exhibits th...
This interesting handmade ring is composed of applied angular bands of various textures. A split band is attached asymmetrically to each side. The ring is unmarked, but tests definitively for silver. It is probably from the 1970s, and is sized approximately a 6 scant. Weight: 5 grams
Composed of five connected sterling panels, each decorated with two applied sterling calla lilies and gilded leaves. The flap clasp is very secure, as are all connecting rings; the sterling safety chain has a spring-ring clasp. The flap has an indecipherable mark, possibly for a maker, between the mark for sterling and the mark for gold content: 1/20 10kt G.F. (for gold-filled). The bracelet measures 7 ¼ inches long, including the clasp, and just under 1 ¼ inches wide. Weight: 57.9 grams
This popular Georg Jensen design features a deeply recessed, oxidized groove around the entire band that is embedded with tiny silver beads. The inside of the band bears the Jensen post-1945 mark, country and sterling marks, and design number of 60 B. The ring is sized at approximately an 8 1/4. Weight: 3.3 grams
This unusual bracelet is cleverly hand-built from cast circular elements, each riveted to the next. The rivets allow the circular pieces to move as on a hinge, and each is connected at an angle to accommodate a comfortable fit on the wrist. The box clasp is sturdy and secure, with a figure-eight safety catch. Although the circular elements are hollow, the bracelet has a good heft and has a Constructivist aesthetic. It is probably from the 1970s. The clasp is marked 925 for sterling silver. The b...
These earrings feature simple, classic geometrical designs enhanced with oxidation that is reminiscent of Southwest design. The earrings are not marked, but test for sterling silver; the screw backs are marked sterling. The surface exhibits a warm, aged patina. Each earring drops about 2 inches and each hoop measures 1 3/8 inches in diameter. Weight: 10.5 grams total
Ca1940 A study cable bracelet with rope twist design marked LP sterling. The large heart charm is inscribed(TTB?) and marked LaPaglia Designed International Sterling. The bracelet is 8"x 1/2" ; the charm 1 -1/2" x 1 -1/4".Weight 2.1 ozs.
Margot van Voorhies Carr designed this pre-Colombian double swirl and her taller Margot de Taxco created this absolute to die for necklace. It is so beautiful it was chosen as the COVER DESIGN for the book WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penney C. Morrill. Definitely a favorite of mine being 1 14/16th wide (for all intent and purpose you can call it 2 inches wide) and 21in. long. The actual wearable size due to its width is a comfortable 17in. The presence displayed is si...
A modernist sterling silver brooch by noted mid century jeweler, Sam Kramer, in the shape of a stylized fish or bird with an amethyst eye. Measures 2" square. Has a faceted pear shaped amethyst stone cabochon on an additional layer of sterling. Marked with Sam Kramer's mushroom mark and sterling. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. There is a very minor ding to one corner. There are some scratches on the back near the clasp. One sid...
These abstract earrings have an unconstructed, rough look of Brutalist design. They have pendants with curled, textured and oxidized surfaces that are finished on both sides and dangle from similar tops. They test definitively for sterling silver, and although they are not too heavy for the original ear clips, a good jeweler or metalsmith could convert them to posts to be on the safe side. There are indecipherable marks on the pendant top rings that could be either tool marks or struck. The earr...
The bold design of this cuff features Viking influences, with embossed traditional patterns on an oxidized background. The terminals are curved for easily slipping the piece over the wrist, and there are applied triangular plaques where a safety chain was attached. The bracelet is inscribed inside and dated 1967. The Georg Jensen post-1945 mark appears on the edge of one terminal, and the design number 78 is on the other. There is a 1/16-inch impact under one edge (see photo 5). The cuff has a 7...
This unusual sterling silver necklace is constructed of sections 1/8-inch wire in a wavy pattern similar to figure eights laid end to end. Each section is linked by flattened, securely soldered bands; it is a nice, substantial piece. The necklace is marked sterling on the band attached to the jump ring, as well as on the spring ring. It measures 17 inches long by 3/8 inch wide. Weight: 53.7 grams
This handsome cuff features an abstract design of two concave asymmetrical bands, linked by a single narrow applied strand. It’s quite comfortable to wear, and is constructed with flattened edges at the terminals to ease the fit over the wrist. Under the lacquered finish there is a soft patina indicating age with some oxidation that adds character, including a fingerprint. The maker’s mark is partial and as yet unidentified. It dates about 1970. The cuff measures 1 7/8 inches wide, about 2 i...
Topped with concentric disks, each earring hoop has a graduated width. The hoops are each set with five polished rutilated quartz cabochons, with the largest in the middle. The unidentified maker’s mark appears to be a conjoined JA or possibly a V. Gross weight: 20 grams total. Each earring measures 2 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. New clutches come with the earrings.
We have a bracelet of large dimensions at 2.25in. tall and weighing in at 150.00 grams. Marked only Sterling and then also Taxco with a push pin closure. The diameter of the bracelet is 2.5in. and fits most. The panels are divided up with a decorative motif of a caviar bead wrapped in rope and bead work up and down the height of the bracelet. This looks fantastic with Aguilar and Spratling designs. No damage and a patina that was almost black when received. The tiny bead work shows a reflection ...

Classic Antonio Pineda bracelet that is board room sleek with a look that goes anywhere. The bracelet has a 2.5in. diameter and 5/8th in. high stature. There is a light amount of patina which will be left for the buyer to do with as they prefer. The hallmark is signed correctly as shown. It is hard to find one in this condition without dents or damage. I believe the stones to be a low sheen obsidian. Everything goes with the color black. Collector quality
This outstanding bracelet, by renowned South American jeweler Antonio Belgiorno, is composed of slightly concave disks with delicately textured top surfaces. It has a substantial look and exhibits classic mid-century design. One side of the tongue bears the mark A Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, and an obscured rectangular mark that could indicate Industria Argentina; the other side indicates T27 and 900 for silver content in a diamond reserve. The connecting links are securely soldered, the box clasp ...
A heavy, organic design distinguishes this handmade Mexican ring from its contemporaries. The stone is set within a vine-like mount, and is highly polished, fiery, showing very little wear. The ring band and mount have somewhat of a rough, handcrafted look, and the surface has a robust patina from age. It dates c. 1960, and is partially marked Mexico on the inner band on one side, and 925 with another mark starting with M that could be for Mexico or the maker’s initials. The outer band shows a...
A charming piece composed of a sterling silver fish pendant on its original chain, this necklace exhibits the fine workmanship typical of mid-century Italian jewelry. The fish’s features are enhanced with cobalt and green enamel, and its tail moves on a hinge. All the pieces are riveted together, and the cable chain features flattened, oval links. The pendant and chain bear the Italian mark for sterling, registered Arezzo, dating 1944-1968. The pendant measures 2 inches long (including the bai...
A highly decorative piece in gilded sterling silver designed with a graceful movement, this starfish pin has a rich, textured look. It features yellow-green guilloche enamel with raised graduated disks running down each arm enameled in white. The entire piece is jag edged, and has a convex shape. It dates from the 1960s and bears the maker’s mark of Ivar T. Holth of Oslo. Please note that the first two images show the truest color. The pin measures 1 ¾ inches wide. Weight: 8.3 grams

An enameled violin is suspended from an enameled treble clef, both enhanced with marcasite. The clef bears a rollover clasp on the back, and the violin is marked Germany/sterling silver. When worn with the clef at a slight angle, the 1960s pin measures approximately 2 inches long by ¾ inch wide at the violin. Weight: 5.2 grams
Featuring a clean impressed linear decoration enhanced with oxidation, this unmarked bangle looks to have been inspired by Mexican or Native American design of the U.S. Southwest. It has a graduated width and interesting, irregular-shaped terminals. There is a little bit of give in the fit, but the bracelet is quite strong and has retained its shape. It tests definitively for sterling silver. The bangle has an inner circumference of just under 8 inches and measures 2 3/8 inches across the openin...
These petite earrings feature central disks of faux turquoise set in pinwheel-like frames, reminiscent of southwest U.S. or Mexican design. They have working screw backs and can be easily converted to posts. The screws are marked sterling with a capital F in circle, possibly for George H. Fuller & Son, Pawtucket, RI. (The mark may apply to the fittings only.) They measure ½ inch in diameter.

Gerardo Lopez was and is known to have made these gorgeous pectoral necklaces that really say it all about the fashion of Mexican silver in the Spratling era. This example is correctly hallmarked as shown and has no damage of any kind. The patina is natural and untouched for as long as I have owned it for several years. What is most interesting is that when you look and compare to another there is often a design element a little different between each other. The drop is 4in. across and 4in. hig...
