Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.

Modernist globular silver earrings by renown Finnish designer Liisa Vitali whose characteristics are pierced, cut-out shapes. The Leppäkerttu / Ladybug collection appeared around 1970. Together with the Pitsi / Lace series it belongs to Vitali’s most popular designs. Swedish import marks (three crowns in an oval and S) and 925. Diameter of the little globes: "3/5/ 1.5 cm. Five large cabochons with pink banding are set in sterling silver frames that are deeply oxidized and embossed with a ridged design. They are linked by oblong rings that are similarly decorated. The highly polished stones are securely prong set and show no scratches or other signs of wear; they may be rhodochrosites, which were popular in the 1950s. The fold-over clasp is very secure and in good working order. The bracelet is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling...

Circa 1940's, this is a spectacular necklace from Marcel Boucher. It's hand-wrought and extremely substantial, weighing in at 158.2 grams, or over 5 troy ounces.

Boucher was born in Paris, and apprenticed with Cartier. He has a reputation of being perhaps the greatest costume jewelry designer. In the 1940's, he produced silver jewelry in Mexico under the name Parisina. In 1957, he opened his business in New York.

An elegant, simple and sophisticated sterling necklace by Antonio Pineda. The curved, hinged links are a beautiful shape and this necklace is very wearable and comfortable. Measuring 15 1/2" end to end, (curved), it is 5/8" wide. It weighs 92 grams and is in fine original condition. Signed as shown. Terrific in every way.

Alfredo Villasana was one of the finest Maestros of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. This treasure is a hand made pectoral that is shadow boxed with a nielo underneath and leaves styled and cut out with precision running across the top. The necklace weighs 105 grams of thick silver. The wearable length is a mimimum of 17 inches. No repairs or damage just, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Beautiful glittering sterling silver 1920s Art Deco bracelet with square cut openback unfoiled stones which are either lead crystal paste glass or rock crystal, prong set in frames with very soft repousse decoration on the backs. Early spring ring clasp made with a collar instead of a thumb tab. Clasp is marked STERLING. 6 3/4 inches wearable length and 1/4 inch wide. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. One of my favorite “less celebrated” early Mexican maestros, AEM (or AE Heart as he is also referred to because of the way he signs his work) had his workshop in Mexico City and he created some really nice pieces. Dark romantic Bohemian rose cut garnet brooch from the late 19th century set in star cluster. It is 1 3/8" in diameter.

This fine piece is made of silver, with a gold wash: vermeil. It is a brooch and pendant measuring 1 3/4" x 1 1/2". The large, Eilat stone, a gemstone, has great color, is bezel set and measures 1 1/2" x 1" x 1/8". The back is marked SILVER with the Hebrew letters meaning "silver" that sound like "kesef" in English, (from right to left kaf, samech, feh). The are a couple of other hallmarks beneath. This piece has good heft: 1 ounce / 28 grams. It is in great condition...

A vintage hammered sterling silver brooch with leaves by Joan Polsdorfer, who signed her work JoPoL, and was the first American designer to work for Georg Jensen, USA. She also sold her work directly to high end retail outlets. Brooch measures 1 7/8" across and 1 7/8" high. Marked on the back JoPoL, Sterling and design number 317. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina. Great Arts and Crafts design.

Beautiful sterling silver & rose quartz bracelet designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Comprised of 5 ancient pale pink hand cut, bezel set quartz stones. Center stone measures 1" high. Bracelet will fit up to a 6 3/4" wrist comfortably. Excellent vintage condition. Slide in clasp and safety chain are tight and secure. Fully signed on the reverse.
