Circa 1950s sterling and amethyst bracelet by important mid 20th Century American silversmith Ed Levin. The thick solid sterling wire each terminates in a flattened, flared shape, each holding a single purple amethyst cabochon.

Signed with the early "Levin, Sterling" mark, indicating that this is a mid 20th Century piece. It currently measures approx. 3" x 2.5", but is adjustable. The top portion is 1.5" wide. Excellent vintage condition...

Rare handmade large scale sterling cuff by the famous NYC modernist, Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1945. Original design combining flat silver outlined in decorative thick silver wire. It is signed "LOBEL STERLING" and is in excellent condition. Of good size, it measures 1 1/2" wide and the inside circumference is 6 1/2" and will fit a medium wrist. Graziella Laffi signed on both the necklace and bracelet. The enamel is in perfect condition as well as the silver. The length is 7 inches and the necklace has a wearable length of 16.5 inches. 1.25in. for the height for both the necklace and bracelet. When I see these there seems to be some that looks very much the same but there is always a change with a fish or bird in different places and size. For all Laffi collectors, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A rare brooch and earrings set by noted Sausalito Mid 20th century jeweler, Loyola Fourtane. She and her husband were jewelers and artists and worked from their houseboat in Sausalito, California from the 1930's -50's.

This set is made of sterling silver with copper and brass embellishments and what look like carnelian cabochons.

These elegant earrings by Antonio Pineda have a great modernist design with their gorgeous combination of silver and deep Black Onyx stones. They measure 1/2" X 1/2" and together they weigh 12.2 grams. Hallmarked on both earrings with the Antonio Taxco crown they are in good vintage condition with minor age related wear and tarnish and the screw backs are in good working order. Chic, timeless, and elegant, they are a pair of earrings you will wear for a lifetime.

A hand engraved Smibo sterling silver rectangular hinged bangle bracelet from the 1950s. It measures 2-1/8 x 2" across the interior and it is 1/2" wide. Margot van Voorhies was married to Antonio Castillo and they opened Los Castillo where Margot became well known for her designs. After a divorce she opened her own taller Margot de Taxco. This is design number 5213 the hearts. You see this design with glass or amethyst centers but this one is a rare sterling dome. The length is 15 inches and is 1 1/8th inches tall. The links are without damage and is properly hallmarked as shown. A treasure of collector quality, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE.

This massive cuff by Antonio Pineda features a design inspired by the French cave of Lascaux. He made several items with this design which can be found in the book "Silver Seductions" on page 141. This bracelet measures 2 1/4" at the front tapering to 1" at the back with an inside measurement of 5" and an opening of 1 3/4". Very heavy at 135.3 grams. An abstract, geometric cuff bracelet made of thick sterling wires and flattened sterling curved areas by the NYC jeweler, Henry Steig.

Measures about 5" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures 2 1/8" wide. Can probably be adjusted slightly. Fits snugly on my average wrist and does not turn, (which is good). Signed on the inside with Steig Sterling. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish.

The "Silver By Tono" hallmark dates this piece 1948-1953. Collector quality.

This Antonio Pineda pin is a superb early creation, with a repoussé silver upper segment and a large amethyst cabochon dangle. The recesses are oxidized giving a great deal of depth.

I have not seen this design before and believe it to be quite rare.

Measures 2 3/8" wide, 2" tall.

Weight is 26 grams.

This mid-century bracelet is the work of Felipe Martinez, whose Taxco shop was called "Piedra y Plata.

Piedra y Plata opened in 1950 and soon gained a reputation as one of the best silver shops in Taxco.

This bracelet features flawlessly inlaid chrysocolla stones in heavy gauge sterling silver with a striking modernist design.
