This is a mid 19th century painting of a young girl in a beautiful landscape setting. It is painted on academy board which measures 10 1/2" x 12 1/2" and is mounted in a beautiful carved frame which appears to be original to the painting. The frame measures 18" x 16". This could be a early American folk art portrait depicting a memorial to the young lady. She is holding in her hand some grapes on a vine and this is a symbol of Christian redemption...

It is signed G. Inness lower right. It is in good condition with evidence of small craquelure which has been restored and has been relined. George Loring Brown, Malden, Massachusetts, 1814-1889. This expensive landscape is a view of Sorrento including Mount Vesuvius in the background. This oil on canvas is 12" x 20" in a 3" 19th century frame. It is signed and titled verso very clearly and it is in very good condition with appropriate craqueleur. The edges have been reinforced but are still original. He lived in the U.S. and Europe and his more sought after paintings are those of southern Italy...

This is a Beautiful mid 19th century portrait of a lady from Natchez, MS. Notice the detail of the portrait and the hand painted wall paper. 30" x 25" and it is mounted in its original frame. Canvas on verso stamped L.Frank - - Boston. The painting came from a private collection in Beaufort, SC. We believe this painting is done by James Reid Lambdin.

A well-painted oil on canvas, 19 3/4" by 11 1/2", unframed, UNSIGNED, featuring a rivulet-type small waterfall deep in the forest, emptying into a foreground pool. The name "H. D. MARTIN" is written in a late hand on the reverse side of the RELINED canvas, and then it appears there was an attempt to rub that out. The canvas has been laid on another quality canvas, relined, in decades not that far in the past. The tacking edges are gone on all sides...

This is a Early 1820 Portrait of U.S Senator William Pinkney (1764-1822)of the state of Maryland. He was a outstanding Maryland Lawyer and was from Annapolis and then Baltimore. Early in our research, the Portrait appears to be in the style of Charles Willson Peale. (1741-1827). The Portrait measures 30" x 24" and is mounted in a new style gold leaf frame. The Painting has been restored and mounted on board.

This portrait was purchased in Georgia from the West Family. The owner had been a partner in the Law Firm King and Spaulding. The portrait appears to be of a Lawyer or a Justice. This high quality portrait measures 20" x 16". It has been relined. We are researching this painting and will advise progress later. Our research indicates that this is a portrait of a young Joseph Story(1779-1845). This portrait is painted in the style of Gilbert Stuart.
