This is a really pretty watercolor on heavy watercolor paper by an obvious talent, 14" by 20" (22 1/2" by 28 1/4" as framed), the subject picturesque boats tied up along the banks of an idyllic stretch of river, a boathouse at left and a few figures completing the impressionist composition. This is a charming antique watercolor, signed at lower right "Vl. Titelbach", and dated there 1884, the subject a celebratory procession of country folk complete with ox-drawn wagons, horse, drums, pistol being fired in the air and other quaint details. The work is on old browned paper, and it measures 14" by 21" inside the mat. There is no glass (I discarded it---was cracked when this was found, in southern Maine). Presently it is housed only in a simple modern metal frame...
