1924 watercolor painting of Red Mountain, California, by listed artist Arthur J. Hammond (signed and titled lower left). This is a beautiful work employing soft desert colors in shades of blues, greens, and purples.

The frame is not comtemporary to the piece.

A circa 1960's vintage oil on Masonite painting, 30" by 18" (36 1/2" by 24 1/2" as framed), unsigned, the subject a peaceful creek or marsh land area in late autumn, one tree in full autumnal colors. This is a very nicely painted work, which could benefit from a light cleaning, but you would not have to have that done. Condition is excellent, frame has a bit of wear consistent with age. The artist handled the light and reflections beautifully.

This is a large and impressively painted (28 1/4" by 47" just the painting alone) oil on canvas signed at lower left "J. Mathey 21", showing an early autumn landscape with patches of snow and forest depicted in an impressionist manner. The artist, JACQUES MATHEY (1883-1973), was the son of French artist Paul Mathey (1844-1929).
