Robert Morey know as the designer of the Seal of the United States Marshall service was not only a painter but a personal friend of President Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy. This work is a impressionist style of a corner of his studio.

A contemporary watercolor painting, the subject an arid landscape with adobes and a flat-topped butte in the distance, signed at lower left by artist "Kimura" who dated the work '97. The piece measures 9" by 6" (15 1/2" by 12 1/2"). The barbed wire foreground fence adds to the Southwest ambience. Condition is excellent, frame has slight wear.

An early (early 20th century) unframed watercolor of the brick buildings of San Francisco's Chinatown, unsigned, 11 1/2" by 7 1/2", from the collection of a longtime San Francisco art dealer. The work includes a number of figures in traditional Chinese clothing, along with the ornamental grillwork of some balconies overlooking the street in these post-Gold Rush buildings. The artist could be any number of listed artists, or perhaps, a talented amateur. There is light foxing in the sky.

Impressive oil on canvas modern painting, "Sonata", 1956, signed at lower left and again on the reverse by the noted Mexican-born artist largely associated with Cuba, FELIPE ORLANDO (1911-2001). A partial label from Galeria San Martin, Mexico City, remains on the stretcher. The piece measures 31" by 37" on the stretchers and 32 1/2" by 38 1/2" in the narrow gold framing.
