The painting is in superb condition, with no problems or restoration. It is housed in its original case of cast foliate brass with the reverse having a glazed aperture. The case and glass are also in excellent condition, though the reverse has several unimportant dents.

Mid Century Sci Fi oil on canvas of a card dealer wearing a dealers visor and a green cardigan sweater said to be magazine cover from a 1950s sci fi publication. We bought this and another we are listing in the late 1990 in Los Angeles , the seller didn't remember the artist name but said the artist was an early Sci Fi artist . the painting is unsigned in good condition though could use a cleaning. Very well done one of my favorites. Size overall 25" by 19.5" sight 19.5" by 13.5"

A beautifully executed watercolor of the iconic Monterey Cypress trees of coastal central California, signed at lower right by well listed and increasingly sought-after artist JAMES MARCH PHILLIPS (1913-1981). This example measures 15" by 14" inside the mat and 26 1/2" by 25 1/2" in its wood frame. Phillips was born in Fresno and studied art beginning in the 1940's in San Francisco. A prolific and talented watercolorist, his works were sold in galleries throughout Northern California...

As suggested by the contradictory title "colorful vintage folk art painting....by Brazilian modernist", this is a very unusual, difficult-to-describe, interesting oil on canvas painting of Christ on the cross, the background a complex mix of bright primary color and modernist forms, signed at lower right by artist "Edelweiss". On the stretcher is written apparently in Portuguese, "Cobia alada da guita" or similar, along with the original $1520 USD price...

A large, impressive watercolor of the American Southwest, featuring a temporary water course in the otherwise arid classic landscape (as one would see a flash flood after a sudden summer monsoon cloudburst) with reddish butte at center.
