This is a watercolor signed at lower right by an unrecognized artist named "Andre" or "Audre", 11 1/2" by 8 1/2" (17 1/2" by 14 1/4" as framed), the subject a young girl in pigtails viewed from behind, playing a grand piano. The overall colors are a cool mix of white, black, silvery gray, and light blue, with pink accenting in her bow. The mat and silvery frame pick up the colors nicely...

This is a drawing of traditional subject matter in a contemporary style, evidently by a youngster who lived at the Taos Pueblo in northern New Mexico. Measuring 7 3/8" by 11 1/2" inside the present mat (12 5/8" by 17 1/2" as framed), the image is of a bison with a stylized sun at upper left, and scattered stylized trees, with a multi story adobe at lower right serving as the Pueblo itself. On the reverse is written "Age 13/Taos Day School/New,Mexico 87511/Taos Pueblo/U.S.A."...

According to Hughes, the artist was born in Kentucky, and went on to study in the Midwest at Art Institute of Chicago and at schools in Ohio...

Gouache on paper, 16 1/2" by 10 3/4" and 4" on a side mat/frame, signed at lower left in Cyrillic with the possible name "Dreber" or "Dreiber" or "Dreyber", and dated 22 November 1974. This carefully crafted drawing of fuchsia and a tulip-shaped bloom reminds me of early American folk art Americana like Pennsylvania fraktur.......but, this is Russian! Condition is excellent with just slight mottling of a leaf... I think this could be just the artist's handling of the paint...

This is an antique painting of a rose in a tall glass vase, 13 1/2" by 5 3/8" framed, unsigned, circa 1900. Found in Rockland, Maine. The work, being of an unusual shape, might be that perfect addition to your narrow little space. There is wear on frame and the painting has even light soiling consistent with its age.

The artist created a comforting scene with a folk art feel, the handling of the trees and structure charmingly primitive. More than likely, this will need a new frame. There is a roughly circular dark area as seen at lower left, about 1" in diameter, that has been abraded. Otherwise the painting just sports...
