Ottens (possibly, Frederik Ottens). This was an active Dutch missionary site in the Moluccas, famed for exotic spices...

Very decorative truly antique, 1770's print of an elegant lady standing, in the sanguine color, crayon technique (also known as "chalk-manner") perfected by talented eighteenth century artist GILLES DEMARTEAU (1722-1776). The print, executed after a painting by the great French Rococo master Jean-Honore Fragonard, measures 15" by 10 5/8" inside the fine French matting, with gilt border and numerous outlines, that in turn housed in a gold leaf antique frame measuring 22" by 18"...

Fantastic Renaissance engraving, there are only 3 copys I could find one in the Metropolitan Museum, one on the Boston Museum of art and One in the Royal Collection Buckingham Palace. PAIR of copper engravings by the early Flemish artist JOHANNES STRADANUS (also known as Johannes van der Straet), born 1523, died 1605. Each measures 8" by 10 1/2" (16" by 18" in identical silvery contemporary frames). One image is titled "Staphae, Sive Stapedes", the other "Ser Sive Sericus Vermis". These works date to about the year 1590 or 1591. They are numbered 8 and 9, part of Nova Reperta, a series of 20 images that illustrated important discoveries of the Renaissance...

A fine copper engraving of the year 1596, by the noted Old Master JAN PIETERSZ SAENREDAM (1565-1607), featuring young couples in a festive mood, in a Dutch town at the end of the sixteenth century. The print (Hollstein catalogue raisonne #133) is titled "Feiernde und Tanzende Junge Paare" (roughly, "Celebrating and Dancing Young Couples"). It measures 12" by 15 3/8" inside the present mat and the piece is 18 1/2" by 24 3/4" in the contemporary strip gold framing...

Two antique prints circa 17th century, matted together, one featuring profiles of a man's head (6 1/2" by 9 1/2"), the other a study of a bare foot and a foot in a sandal (6 1/2" by 4 1/2"), the head profiles, originally drawn by Annibale Carracci (1560-1609) for his "Livre de Portraiture", subsequently transferred into engravings, likely by Jan Van Haelbeck (fl. 1600-1630) and published in Paris in 1667 by Francois de Poilly. Carracci's name is at lower left, and de Poilly at lower right...

Very RARE Engraving of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. Bust length portrait facing left, wearing armor and the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The portrait sits within an oval frame bearing the Latin inscription 'IMP. CAES. CAROLVS V. AVG.' The frame has been set into an alcove featuring fluted Doric columns, an eagle, swags of fruit and allegorical female figures, such as those of Germany and Africa at the bottom of the plate.
