William Walcot 1874-1943 British This is a fine drypoint etching by British artist William Walcot. This image of the Brooklyn Bridge was done in his series of 5 etchings of New York City published in 1923 as a portfolio. This etching is hand signed in pencil in the lower border. The image measures 8 1/4X9 3/4 inches. Nicely Framed with archival materials.

A woodblock print on hand-made paper, the subject a female nude, as originally published in 1921 in the French language literary and art magazine Les Cahiers d'Aujourd'hui. According to information affixed to the backing, this is "original work done on hand laid paper", which was "string-tied" into the hand-bound booklet. CARL HOFER (1878-1955) is today considered a German Expressionist; his finest paintings have exceeded $500,000 at auctions...

A rarely seen print, featuring the familiar, landmark high bridge over the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena, California, by the well-known California plein air impressionist artist BENJAMIN CHAMBERS BROWN (1865-1942). The lithograph is in rich brown ink on watermarked paper (an "A" with eagle). The sheet measures roughly 13" by 16" (margins irregularly cut, though more than ample) and the printed image 9 3/4" by 13". The print is not pencil signed...

This Warren Davis etching measures 7 7/8 x 6 inches, pencil signed, label from Kleemann-Thorman Galleries, New York included, c.1928. This delicately rendered etching is a great example of Davis's images of graceful female nudes, many of which were used for Vanity Fair and Life magazines in the very early 1900s.

Dorsey Potter Tyson 1891-1969 American This is a very fine original hand colored drypoint etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson. The title is: Dragon Boat Festival, this etching was created and printed in 1929 in an edition of 100, this one is numbered as 42/100. This pencil signed etching measures an image of 11 7/8X9 7/8 inches. It is nicely framed in an orientalist frame with french matting.

Etching or aquatint in colors, 18 1/2" by 23" (28" by 31 1/2" as framed), titled at lower left margin "Les Vieux (???)" and signed at lower right margin by the noted French artist PAUL EMAIL LECOMTE (1877-1950). I have looked extensively online and have found some other examples of his art, all graphic art, the subject matter including European scenes of castles and cities, and the American subjects including scenes on the Ohio River...

The work, unframed, and measuring 19 1/2" by 11 1/4" presently, is one of the very collectable "Chalcographie du Louvre" impressions...

This c.1925 etching by William Meyerowitz measures 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches, plate and pencil signed, framed. Meyerowitz studied at the National Academy of Design in NY and is best known for his development of producing etchings in color. His work is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Carnegie Institute; National Academy of Design; Harvard University and the Library of Congress.

Eugene Higgins (American, Kansas City, Missouri 1874–1958 New York)A superb painterly impression, in dark brown ink, on buff wove paper os a lake scene with trees and a sail boat c 1910. Size 10.5" by 8.75" The print has an inscription at bottom with Higgins name , unsure if its his signature.

Robin Tanner 1904-1988 British This is a fine early etching by British artist Robin Tanner. The title is: The Gamekeepers Cottage, it was created and printed in 1928 in an edition of 50, this impression is numbered as XXV. The image measures 6 7/8X8 3/4 inches. The subject was thought to be made at Annie Bryant's old cottage in Kington Langley; at Rose Cottage, Corsham, the home of Heather Spackman, his future wife, and at the family house of the Spackmans...

Scarce print, "Coal--Mahanoy City--The Main Street", so titled and pencil signed by the artist, Joseph Pennell, in the lower margin, with notation "Trial Proof" at lower left. This is a scene of a gritty small town in east-central Pennsylvania's anthracite coal belt, Mahanoy City, about 50 miles northwest of Reading. The total edition is said to have been 50 impressions...
