An example of the 1957 poster of a seated nude, titled "Andre Derain Dessins", by Galerie Maeght. The lithograph is framed in a silver metal frame with orange backdrop. Measurements are 25 3/4" by 18 3/4" (30 1/2" by 24 1/4" as framed). Derain was a major French artist in the first half of the twentieth century, renowned early on for his Fauvist works and later for a wealth of works, both drawings and paintings, many of which depicted the female nude. WILL BE SHIPPED WITHOUT GLASS.

Anthony Van Dyck, European, 1599-1641, "Adrianus Stalbent". This is an original engraving by Paulus Pontius after the painting by Anthony Van Dyck. The image size is 9 5/8 x 6 3/4 inches, c. 1700s, inscribed "Ant. van Dyck pinxit" and "Paul. du pont sculpt" in the lower left margin, with the title and a phrase in Latin below the image, with the original Kennedy Gallery label. Stalbent was a Flemish landscape painter and friend of Anthony Van Dyck when this portrait was painted...

Stanley Anderson 1884-1966 British This is a fine line engraving by British artist Stanley Anderson. The title is The Old Tinker. This pencil signed impression measures 7 X5 1/2 inches, created and printed in 1933. This image appears in the Anderson Catalog as image number 208. The tinker is depicted soldering a patch to a leaking kettle while his wife is about to renew the cane seat of an old chair...

Werling was born in San Francisco and very early in life showed artistic promise and drive...

This is an image of a young African-American boy grinning while leaning against a building, the image mounted on a board signed by the photographer, Arthur S. Little. After googling the name I find that around the late 'teens and early twenties, there was a photographer in Los Angeles and Ventura by that name, though he does not seem to have had a high profile. I do not believe that this is an original photograph. The item is in good condition...

A contrasty, dramatic lithograph of a man's head, modernist artistic liberties apparent in the design, 15" by 11 1/4" inside the present mat (sheet 16 3/4" by 13 3/4"), as framed 24" by 18 1/2", signed in the plate and again in pencil at lower left center by the noted Chicago-associated twentieth century artist WILLIAM SAMUEL SCHWARTZ (1896-1977)...

What fun this print is—a swirl of kanji virtually unreadable but a delight to the eye. 79-9 was done in 1979 and measures 9.25in W x 10.75in H. The print is in excellent condition.

THREE hand colored French 19th century prints featuring early-day Japanese soldiers, each 9 1/4" by 6 3/8" inside the faded old violet mats, to which each is simply taped at top edge. The prints are unframed. Two have a dark foxing mark, and all are of sufficient age to have acquired the signs of age---paper toning, slight handling creases and so forth. Fresh mats and frames will display them properly and preserve them for another 150 or so years...

PAIR of etchings of dogs, one a Fox Terrier, the other a Scottish Terrier, each signed at lower right in pencil by the renowned twentieth century German dog and cat and other animal artist, KURT MEYER-EBERHARDT (1895-1977). The artist was born in Leipzig and died in Munich. In the late 1920's he was studying with Thedor Hagen and Lyonel Feininger, and could have ascended to the highest levels of the art world. He however chose to pursue his love of depicting domestic and other animals...
