Very well crafted patinated bronze figure of matador. Depicting figures of a bull and matador, from late 19th/early 20th century, marked "Masier". Raised on a 1.25" marble base, figure height is 8 inches with length of 11 inches, no condition issues noted.

Gandhara Kingdom stucco head of Buddha mounted, 3/4th Century, condition: good, left ear damaged and a few inconsequential nicks, common considering the age of this fine sculpture, size" H. 12cm x W. 8cm x D. 11cm. The idealized style is reminiscent of Greek Hellenistic sculpture which strongly influenced the Buddhist imagery of Central Asia and in particular of Gandharan artists.

A heavy bronze mid-century sculpture on a wood base, signed (incised) J. Soriano, measuring approximately 14" by 9" by 8" (bronze itself), the wood base about 10 1/2" high.  Note the fine lustrous brown patina. The signature is spurious, the work not by the famous Mexican artist sculptor Juan Soriano (so determined by correspondence from the representative/expert of his estate), but the anonymous work stands on its own merits, and it is likely to be of Mexican or South American origin...

Well designed and crafted bronze sculpture of a newspaper boy in standing position holding a bundle of newspaper under left arm and with the right hand around his mouth announcing news of the days , late 19th century period, artist's marking, Bofil, to the bronze base. This a superbly Carved Crucifix was made from Walnut, both cross and corpus. Walnut is used on large sculptures such as this one, because it does not brake while the artisan is working it, and because it lasts a very long time. This large cross features a detailed hand carved sculpture of Jesus nailed on a wooden cross with forged iron-styled nails over his hands and feet. The large sculpture is well-proportioned and has realistic details throughout the body, face, and hair...
