Featuring a set of 4 decorative wall plaques with metal or bronze Greek and Roman heads in relief mounted on a reverse painted glass mirror in gold set in cream wooden frame. The heads are Mercury and perhaps Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Mark Anthony.The backs are sealed with Italian type paper.
Dimensions: 8" diameter x 1 1/4" deep. Circa 1950. Condition: one with cracked glass. The gold rim on the frames is worn and flaking. No other problems. Country of origin, probably Italy...

This is a special form of protective Buddha from Burma- "Lotus Buddha". Considered good luck, and to be protective-especially from fire. Often with small "bumps" on the joints (knees, elbows, hips etc). I believe this one is a genuine early one (150 to 200 years) carved out of teak and coated with layers of lacquer.. Very fine face- s 10 1/2 inches tall x 6 inches across x 4 1/2 inches deep.

Original bronze sculpture by Constance Freedman (English, 1928-1982). This sculpture is signed "C. Freedman". It measures 6 1/2" tall. It stands on a black enameled wood base. Provenance: directly from the artist's nephew. Constance Freedman was an associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors (ARBS). Her works have sold in the major auction houses, and she is listed in all the usual databases.
This highly detailed and finely sculpted totem form bronze features the famous Wise Monkeys - see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. It stands on a plinth with stacking monkeys, the highest of which is holding a basket which we believe is an incense burner. There are no markings, occasional small and minor blemishes, and a pack of clay in the underside which the previous owner may have used for ballast though it seems not to require any...
