Magnificent 19th Century standing Mandalay Buddha, wood with lacquer patina and gilding, standing on a lotus flower socle. The slender body wears an elaborate monk's garment. Fine workmanship including a beautiful turquoise headband (rarely found) and silver colored glass inlays on the borders of the flowing robe and the lotus pedestal. The Buddhas's left hand clasps his robe, the right one holds a myrobalan fruit. Very good condition considering the age...

The Marble Sculpture measures 18" tall x 9" at the base. This appears to be a Sculpture by Constantin Brancusi.(1876-1957). This Sculpture was purchased from an Estate in Highland Park in Dallas, Texas. It was used as a decoration for a private pool at that particular Estate. This Abstract Sculpture is not signed.
