A pair of solid carved turquoise earrings with matrix. They hang just shy of 2" excluding wires.

This little fellow is composed of oxidized and hammered sterling silver with applied silver wire around the rim. His eye is a dark cobalt blue half-bead, probably lapis. The pin is secured by a sturdy, handmade modified C-clasp and pin stem. The back is hand-engraved with 925 for silver content and what appears to be a maker’s mark or initials. Reminiscent of some Scandinavian pieces from the 1960s, this more modern version of the cattail pin features two freshwater pearls. The stems are gold-filled wires flattened at the top to secure the pearls. The back shows an embossed maker’s mark of a tree in a circle; there is an incised copyright mark with the date 1993 and other hand-markings that include an ST, possibly for sterling (the leaves test as sterling). It measures 3 1/8 inches long by 5/8 inch wide.

A contemporary strand of pearls accented by tumbled citrine,peridot, rose quartz and chalcedony. The box clasp highlighted by an aqua bead is stamped 925.

A large bangle composed of 63 thin, white metal bangles, each decorated with oxidized and impressed bisecting lines. The thin bangles are entwined so as to lie comfortably on the arm, with a Slinky-like feel despite its heft of about 150 grams. The bracelet has a bit of flexibility for getting it over the hand, but for the most part its interior circumference of about 7 ½ inches is pretty firm. The composite thickness of the bracelet is about 2 inches around. It is unmarked.

This pendant, composed of a jockey cap sitting over a riding crop, is marked for .800 silver. It also bears a partial assay mark for Italy, but the maker’s number and area of assay are unclear. Here is a well-made and nicely conceived silver pin by an unknown studio jeweler. The triangular base is impressed with a geometric pattern enhanced by oxidized surfaces of various metallic shades. This pin is a late 20th century rendition of a traditional Russian balalaika composed of sterling silver strings and fittings on a triangular piece of amber. The neck has a layer of what looks like pressed wood to serve as the fingerboard. There is a mark for sterling on the back of the frame and what are probably the maker’s initials of SP; the Polish mark for sterling, 1986 to the present, is on the pin stem. Here is a collar-style necklace with a great modernist look by Ed Levin, who died in 2008. It is set with a cabochon amethyst, and made of a gilded metal. The result is a coppery finish; inside the collar is Levin’s name in script letters and ‘Bronze.’ The well-designed collar is quite comfortable and lies nicely at the base of the neck. It measures 3/8 inch at the front, its widest area, and about 14 inches inside circumference.
