From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a lovely original still life painting in oil, cheerfully executed in bold primary colors depicting a kitchen cupboard full of various sundries. Quintessentially Mexican, this pretty painting comes from Oaxaca Mexico.

Size: Framed dimensions are 19 inches wide, 24 inches tall. Unframed image size is 10 3/4 inches wide, 15 ½ inches tall.

Elegant and with the look of real amber, this Maya necklace is composed of amber colored resin and real citrine. It is 16" end to end and has a 3" extension so that it may be worn at different lengths. Maya's oval cartouche is on the back side as shown in the picture.

Contemporary American designer Maya has created this elegant choker of real pearls, resin and glass beads. 12 1/2" around with a 2 1/2" extension. Depth at its greatest is 5". The piece is signed Maya.

Ikkan-bari basket made of bamboo and paper. Ikkan-bari is a Japanese traditional craft which is: many layers of washi (Japanese handmade paper) are pasted on the bamboo or wood frame, or wood or clay mold. And then coated with urushi or kaki-shibu (persimmon juice) when it becomes dry and hard. It has paper(not Japanese paper) pasted on the bamboo basket and coated with kaki-shibu. Elegant single strand necklace by Maya. Contemporary American designer Maya uses semi precious stones, pearls, crystals and antiqued metal when creating her jewelry. In this lovely necklace she has combined Canada jade, fresh water stick pearls, citrine nuggets and bronze colored metal. Result? Fabulous! Total length end to end is 35". Jade rectangles are 1 1/2" by 1" and are 1/8" thick. Oval metal tag with Maya signature attached.

A contemporary rose quartz necklace with various stones including citrine, amethyst and peridot, all accented by red glass beads. The melon shaped quartz are approximately 5/8" wide and show some inclusions. Length 19" ~ 135 grams

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a handsome leather-wrapped wooden chest from Cusco, Peru, with chocolate colored leather sheets that have been hand-worked with stylized Inca motifs, overlaid onto a wooden body and secured with brass studs. The inside is lined with a red velvet/ felt type material. A charming authentic handicraft from the indigenous population and a lovely gift item.

Robert Sorrell has only created seven of these necklaces, each hand made by him and each slightly different from the other. He calls this his "scarf". Urushi bowl made by Kizaki Tsukiho (1984~) who is an emerging urushi craftsman in Shiga Pref. He makes a wood bowl himself and paints urushi too, generally it is done by each craftsman.
