This is a really great little vintage glass Lantern Candy Container with blue metal base and lid and wire handle. This Lantern Candy Container measures 3 1/2 inches high. This American made beauty was issued by Lionel Trains in 1954 as a replacement for its 394 version of the Rotating Aircraft Beacon. The red paint and black plaque with silver lettering identifies this variation as A which is probably the earliest variant.

Condition is fair with loss of the rotating housing being its chief defect. However, it does have the original lightbulb. Minor paint losses, dust, and dirt have settled on the grand beacon...

A 9K yellow gold man's pocket knife fully hallmarked London, England 1950. This classy gift or men's accessory measures 3-1/4 x 7/16", it has thick engine-turned gold panels enclosing the two blades and it is fully hallmarked and dated 1950 with an SJR maker's mark (for S.J. Rose). Each gold cover is hallmarked and the hinges or rivets are covered by the engine turned design. The blades are marked STAINLESS SHEFFIELD and this knife has never been engraved or initialled...

Measuring 8.25 inches long, this vintage, Black Mammy Spoon rest was made in JAPAN in the 1950's. Along with its jolly, wide-eyed caricature, the spoon rest features a purple-colored tulip painted on both sides and reads “SPOONREST” in black lettering at the top of the Mammy's polka-dotted, purple headscarf. Note small "hanging hole" in back for display on the kitchen wall!

Very few of these pieces survive due to the high level of use they encountered...

This artisan-made, vintage 1950s, utterly delightful, little Black Boy Hand Puppet is in wonderful, minimally-played-with condition!

This sweet little pop-eyed character was recently acquired from the artist's daughter who stated that her mother made the puppet for her in the late 1950's.

With hands and head constructed of papier mache and a machine-stitched cotton body, this 10.50 inch long puppet sat for years in a doll cabinet seeing minimal childhood play...
