"Brother, can you spare a dime?" This fun vintage large cast iron Fedora hat-form paperweight is straight out of the 30's, comprised of gold painted nicely detailed banded hat with a worn look, circa 1940, probably American made. Measurements: 4 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" high. Great condition having a few bumps and bruises made to look authentic. Slight wear to the finish adds to the overall look of the hat.

Handle: two cracks, an easy repair.

A beautiful silver compact with the exterior sides inlaid with natural organic material. Opening this gem reveals a mirror and a heavily filigreed lid to the interior compartment which contains powder and a puff. Superbly crafted and with no damage or restoration, the compact measures 3 1/4" by 2 7/8", and is 1/2" thick.

An ornate, large 19th century carved bone fan, with fine lace-trimmed silk and metal sequins. This 14" fan extends to 27" across; it features finely carved decorative bone end panels, complex and well-executed silk lace on the upper edge, and sewn gold-coloured spangles or sequins in three different shapes. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This bag looks like it's made of bakelite, but it doesn't test as such. I went and learned a lot about early plastics from Andrea DeNoto's book, " Art Plastic," and the best I can come up with is Thermoset Phenolic Resin. That said, whatever the material, this is an extraordinary bag in extraordinary condition. Except for some light surface wear on the back side of the clutch, the bag seems perfect...
