The name of the recipient might be "Ghica", or even another variant---difficult to decipher. Caron of course is the actress known for "Gigi", "An American in Paris", and so forth...

Measuring 5.75" wide x 8.25" long x 6" high, this C1890s, unique and interestingly designed school lunch box has four parts: the base, which is 4" deep, the lid, a removable handled cup cleverly fitted to the top of the lunchbox lid, and a removal interior tray to dine upon that rests on a small edge inside the base!

Constructed of tin with well-executed soldered seams and rolled edges on nearly all areas which are smooth and comfortable to the touch.

This is a very lovely black beaded handbag made in France with delicate embroidered flowers on the front ; the back of the purse has no flowers. The purse is in excellent condition, with only minor bead loss in the top row of the purse and on the clasp. It could certainly be replaced. The inside is very clean, fully lined and has a mirror pocket. The label states Hand Made in France by Denise Francelli of Paris . Measurements: 5" x 8" and the handle adds 4 1/2" inches to the height...

A clean fresh copy of the 2013 book "Montaro Caine", by the famed, late Bahamian-American actor SIDNEY POITIER (1927-2022). This is a first edition with clean dust jacket, signed in ballpoint pen. Poitier will be forever noted as the first African-American actor to win an Academy Award. He is renowned for his achievements in the world of acting and films, but was also a talented writer. Upon his death, there was an outpouring of commentary from figures inside and outside Hollywood.

This 12-3/8" wide purse stands 9-3/8" high to the top of the nickel plated clasp and it has a 7" high alligator strap as well. it has a brown silk lining with a zip pouch and it is in excellent condition with no scrapes, wear, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a white stain or residue on the liner inside...

An interesting selection of barbed wire of the Early West dating from 1872 to 1884, the board titled at top "THE WIRE THAT FENCED THE WEST"; samples are identified in handwriting by type. Some of the early barbed wire is quite scarce and rare; collectors know what is and what is not. All in all, excellent memorabilia for the aficionado of the Early West. This wonderful, late 19th / early 20th century photograph of students and teacher from a New England, one-room school house measures 10 x 8 inches including mat. Actual size of the sepia toned photo is 8 x 5 inches. The subjects are posed on the stairs in front of the schoolhouse porch or veranda. The ten young gentlemen in the front row, while quite fashionably attired, don’t appeared to be very enthusiastic about their participation in this photography session! Look at those faces!
