Kashigata (wooden sweet mold,) kanji characters "Daiou" (Great) motif; Japan, early 20th C. 2-piece Paddle-type mold to make 5 sweets. L.16.75"(42.5cm) x W.2.375"(6cm) x H.1"(2.5cm.) "Daiou" could be symbolic of any type of "greatness," but was most likely a reference to the country during the Japanese Imperial era.

An example of the photograph "The Orchard Bend", circa 1910, so titled and signed in ink "Wallace Nutting", 8 3/4" by 11 3/4" in the laminated dark old-style likely original framing. The scene depicted is a group of pink-flowering trees by a stone wall adjacent to a dirt track which is picturesquely bending out of sight, likely in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts. Wallace Nutting works have been widely collected for decades...
Here is a vintage (probably 1940s-50s) advertisement for an exhibition of Gustavsberg ceramics (Kage, Lindberg, Friberg) at the New York location of George Jensen on 53rd Street. Illustrated is an excellent example of Stig Lindberg's faience series. It measures 5" (12.5cm) by 5 3/8" (14cm). Mint condition.
