Fenton's Cranberry Opalescent glass is one of their most popular treatments. Because it is cased glass (french crystal over gold ruby) every piece must be blown rather than pressed. This hand-work makes each piece unique. Offered here is the 389 jug in their hobnail pattern. This piece was produced from 1940 to 1948 and stands 5 1/2 inches high. Copper and enamel pendant, an early piece by Finnish Pentti Sarpaneva (1925-78). PS, a brother of Timo S, started out as a graphic artist. In his thirties he became a designer of jewels. The “eye” enclosed in a round or square shape is a recurrent theme in his jewelry designs. The little spikes are mobile. A group of four small French Vallauris 1950's Demi-Demi (half-half) pieces: a handled black and white jug and a black and white pitcher, a mini vase in turquoise blue and black, and a small yellow and black cache-pot. All probably by Cérenne. Height "3 ¼/ 8 cm to "5 ¾/ 14,5 cm. Condition: the jug with a minimal flake to the rim.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Shelley before 1950. The numbers 1301/101 are on the bottom. This may be a pattern identification. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. The cup is can shaped. The set has an overlay of gilding which covers all of the white area on each piece. It is reminiscent of chintz...
