A vintage sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a syringe by Gorham. These were called “Martini Spikes” when sold by Gorham in the 1960s. The functioning plunger allows vermouth to be drawn up into the syringe and then dispensed in precisely-calibrated medical dosages into your favorite cocktail. The syringe originally cost $10. The syringe is accompanied by an illustrated instruction card and the original fitted box.

A rare cocktail pick set in the form of a bakelite champagne stopper holding a set of chrome picks. Of the many French Art Deco barware items we’ve handled, this is the first example of this pick set we’ve seen.

Venetian elegance best describes this tall vintage Murano vase in a dramatic sommerso blend of amethyst and copper blue glass. The vessel is 15" tall and in excellent condition and retains a Made in Italy, Murano label.
Superb cut and polished sommerso form is in great condition with minor wear to the base. A wonderful example of modern design utilizing the traditional sommerso technique. The piece has 14 facets, which represent considerable skill and labor on the part of the glass cutter. It measures 6"x6"x3"h, retains evidence of its label, otherwise unmarked

Charming stylized rabbit by the master Archimede Seguso. Nicely shaded in gold dust and brown glass using the Sfumati technique. Measuring 2"w x 3.5"d x3.5"h., the rabbit is in perfect condition and bears a portion of the Seguso red and gold scalloped edge label.
A nice sterling silver double jigger, the bell-shaped cups joined by a spherical holder, by Graff, Washbourne and Dunn. This New York maker was known for the high quality of its smaller wares such as this. The company closed in 1961, but the generous weight of this jigger suggests an earlier date.

Lovely continental porcelain oyster plates in three different colors; each in perfect condition; measures 9 1/2" diameter; one with pink center, one with blue center, and one with teal center; only markings on back are a raised star. This started out as a set of 12, and I have several left in stock.
A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of a chrome lyre with red bakelite-topped cocktail picks forming the instrument’s strings. The whole is set on a mahogany base. Sets such as this were used on bar and café counters to serve cocktail garnishes, canapés or even escargot.

12 sterling silver demitasse spoons in Kirk's wonderful "Repousse" pattern. Certainly the most famous of all silver patterns to emerge from Baltimore, "Repousse" they are filled with flowers such as roses, daisies and forget-me-nots. The backs are marked "S. Kirk & Son Sterling." The set of 12 is accompanied with it's original felt protector with 12 individual holders for the spoons.

A rare Art Deco double jigger in brown and speckled yellow bakelite.

Fratelli Toso Rose Bowl constructed of Cattedrale (or Tiffany Window) murrines in reds, greens, yellows and blue. The murrines feature clear "windows" of glass.Some have "bullseye" configurations in the clear window and black (nerox) glass frames. This is a delightful 4 inch (10.2 cm) diameter bowl with a height of 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) due to the polished top. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1955.
A nice sterling silver double jigger with a turned ebony handle. The jigger has a smaller and a larger cup, each in bell form. The jigger is marked by Edward San Giovanni, who worked in Ridgefield, CT during the 1940s and 50s.

For the Horse lover in your family, this paperweight features murrines with an internal image of a horse. A very unusual find! The horse murrines are surrounded by floral murrines and the whole is encased in clear glass. The piece measures 2 1/2 inches tall and is 3 inches across, there are no chips or cracks. A fine, colorful boxed set of six sterling silver coffee or demitasse spoons with gilt and guilloche enamel decoration by the Birmingham silversmith, Turner & Simpson. The delicate shades of the guilloche enamel are accented with white champlevé enamel. Turner & Simpson sold sets such as this through luxury jewelers such as Garrard and Asprey in London. Each spoon is fully hallmarked by the maker. The set is presented in its original fitted box.

An elegant set of six sterling silver demitasse spoons by English silversmith William Suckling, Ltd. The handles are simply decorated with an acanthus bud. The bowls are slightly broader and more balloon-shaped than the typical demitasse spoon, so they could easily be used for delicate desserts. The set is presented in its original velvet- and silk-lined fitted case. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for the maker and for the year 1945...
Elegant modern glass vase by Dino Martens is composed of white, black and aventurine rods, is 5.25" tall and in excellent condition. The "fasce bianco nero" design is well documented and mentioned in Marc Heiremans book "Dino Martens" as model #5459, page 167.
A heavy sterling silver figural bar jigger in the form of a thimble. The jigger is ornately engraved to suggest the texture of a real thimble and the side is engraved "Just A Thimbleful." The interior is gilt. The underneath is monogrammed "W". The jigger bears the hallmark for S.J. Rose & Son and the date mark for 1969.

The colors in the glass of these gold plated deLillo earrings creates an elegant look. The blue glass in the teardrop dangles all but glows. The deLillo name plate is on each earring. Clip Earrings are 2 3/4" top to bottom.
Modern floral expression using abstract floral murrines in a field of thin copper red vines and green opal leaves. This abstract imagery floats on a thick case of clear glass behind which is a gather of transparent copper blue glass with a heavy coating of aventurine. The thick clear layer gives the design an interesting depth. Measuring 2.5"dia. x 4.25"h, in excellent condition, unmarked.

Charming stylized donkey in the "colorization without fusion" technique by Ercole Barovier. On a recent visit to Murano, I showed a photo of this donkey to Lino Toso, director of the Barovier Toso Museum, and he said he could confirm 80% that this is the work of Ercole. The donkey measures 5.25"h x 2.25"w x 3.25"d, in good condition, unmarked.
Charming vintage Murano glass dog in sommerso with gold collar attributed to Alfredo Barbini. This stylized expression of a dachshund has been well kept and is in excellent condition, as evidenced in the felt pads that protected the base from scratching over the years. This charming stylized snail by Livio Seguso, exemplifies the finesse of the Venetian Glass maestros' skills in interpreting their natural environment with hot glass. In the detail images the snail is shown with a shell form by Seguso from an earlier time: Seguso Vetri d'Arte, mid 1930's. The shell is a Flavio Poli design, and is available: item #0-18, Trocadero #860669...
This Murano Glass modern expression is typical of the Flavio Poli vessel and animal designs for Seguso Vetri d'Arte in the 1940's and 1950's. There are many references to the modern forms with multiple sommerso layers of controlled bubbles and a generous layer of gold leaf by Flavio Poli. An identical form is documented in Leslie Pinas' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO on page 95, valued there at $500. -700. This fine modern expression is 7" in diameter, 2.75" tall...
Unusual murrine pitcher decorated with a single murrine called owls eye or occhi. In perfect condition, 5.5" tall, unmarked
This fine piece of Italian fruit sculpture by Archimede Seguso was blown into a diamond patterned mold and has a skillfully applied arrangement of crown leaves, each leaf applied individually. Executed in pure crystal glass, the sculptural form attracts and refracts light beautifully. The pineapple is 11.5" tall, has a polished bottom, and is in good condition with no damage, unmarked.
Rare vintage sterling silver figural jigger in the form of wing-handled fire bucket. The side is engraved “Fire Water.” Figural jiggers gained popularity in the Art Deco era. The bottom is marked “Lunt Sterling 15”.
