Large Japanese woodblock print by renowned artist Hideo Hagiwara (1913-2007).
Studied at the Tokyo school of Fine Arts, where he graduated at the Oil Painting Section in 1938. While still there he attended Un'ichi Hiratsuka's extracurricular woodblock printing course, and in the same year he became quality controller at the Takamizawa Woodblock Print Company. He was conscripted into the army in 1943. In 1945 he had lost his house, his atelier and nearly all his early works...

An antique Chinese tiered table with mother of pearl inlay inset. The table is square with a marble top with bead edge with mother of pearl inlaid floral motifs. The supports are lion headed that extend to the lower tier and end as lion paw's on a ball as the feet of the table.

A Chinese Yixing Teapot, Late Qing/Republic. Width 18.5 cm (tip spout to handle) and height 11.8 cm. The teapot has soft tiny chips inside the rim of cover. Good condition.

Condition: Tape has been removed from the back. Those areas as well as a crease at the right edge have been reinforced by a conservator. Slight fading.
Chinese round table of natural gnarled, twisted hardwood roots, and a transparent russet lacquer. The table is constructed in two parts- The trunk-like pedestal base and the rooted edge, round top. This type of natural root furniture goes back to the 12th century aesthetic. Here is an example of the round center table produced during the Republic period, bearing the colonial form true to the Victorian Era.

A small Chinese yixing clay teapot of a dark brown tone, with a wide flattened body on rounded tripod feet. The lid and handle are thin and looped and the spout is shortened. The underside of the lid and very bottom are signed Gu Jingzhou (1915-1996).
