A fine and rare antique Native American North West Coast Haida or Tlingit tribe carved large horn spoon or ladle. The handle depicts a totem pole design of an Eagle and Bear with mother of pearl inset eyes. Measuring approx. 13.5" inches long 6" deep and 4.5"wide. In very good antique condition minor imperfections with age.

Nice collection of 6 vintage Seminole dolls, all early to mid 20th century, most with patchwork clothing, beads, and bright colors, all with classic hair styles. Two are earlier, made without any rickrack and are done with old calico fabric. The largest is 12 1/2", others measuring 10", 9 1/2", 9", 7 1/2", and the smallest at 4 1/4". Bodies made of palm material and are handsewn, the clothing is mostly machine stitched, some dolls have rickrack decoration. Sold as a collection only.

Canadian Northwest Coast Haida Indian hand dance drum by Clarence A. Wells ( -1950) depicts a pair of hawks in the graphic Haida style. Title "Fish Hawk". and signature present along edge. The red, black, and white coloring of the eagles makes a dramatic contrast with the natural background color of the drum surface.

A watercolor mixed media (some pencil and perhaps gouache) painting of a weathered Native American or other classic male image of the Southwest, signed at lower left "J W Kolstad". The piece measures 10 1/2" by 10 1/2" inside the black mat and 18" by 17" as framed. Reminiscent of some works by Remington or Lon Megargee, this is a very satisfying southwestern piece. Condition is excellent. The date of execution would likely be 1960's or 1970's.

A shallow ceramic dish, 7 1/4" diameter, 1 1/4" height, signed on the bottom "Carlos Villalba H."; this is an image of a bat, created by the artist in the renowned Mata Ortiz art village in northern Mexico, state of Chihuahua, about 100 miles south of the US border. An exceptionally early work in ink and watercolor by the familiar New Mexico artist PERCY TSISETE SANDY ("KAI SA"), 1918-1974. Measurements are 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" (11 3/4" by 9" simply framed). The subject is a traditional eagle dancer of the Hopi people in full costume. The work is signed at lower right "KA-SAH", ("Red Moon"), apparently an early signature; on the old original remaining backing is written in pencil "purchased on Mother & Daddy's honeymoon 7/41"...

A PAIR of antique prints of Plains Indians, likely from the 1841 edition of "Letters and Notes on the Manners, Customs and Condition of the North American Indians", Catlin's iconic book on the subject. The prints were printed by Tosswill and Myers of London in that year as illustrations in that work. Measurements are 7 1/4" by 5 1/4" inside the mats and 14" by 11 1/2" in modern strip frames. These prints are HAND COLORED, unlike many from the 1870's and 1920's which were printed in color.

Iroquois "false face" mask made of a very dense, heavy wood, with tin metal for the eyes, and horse hair additions, attached via strips of old cotton textile, the measurements of the piece 11" by 7" by 4", with weight a little over 1 1/2 pounds. Some of the very old examples are in museums and fine pieces sell at auctions of Native American art and artifacts. The age of this piece is somewhat difficult to determine, but it is not new. It may date early to mid 20th century.

A hand carved wood totem pole on a round base, made for the tourist trade at mid-century, no signature, 7" high and 6 1/4" widest point on the wings, with original yellow sticker on the back from Indian Craft Shoppe, 905 Government Street, Victoria, British Columbia. There is a little chip off the tip of one wing, otherwise is in good condition.

A carved and painted wood model of a totem pole of the Tlingit, indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America. Depecting a frog, a whale, a bear and a beaver, the back is inscribed in ink and the base is dated New York, U.S.A. June 1931. Dimensions: c. total 40.1 cm high, diameter stand: c. 7.5 cm. Condition: beautiful patina, few tiny chips and minimal wear, the base with little losses to bark.

Before Contact, the eastern region of Canada was populated with the MicMac (aka Mic Mac, Mi'kmaq) tribal group of the Algonquian Nation. This traditional vintage circular trinket box is made from birch bark and decorated with porcupine quill work. There are a some broken/missing quills around the side of the box. measure 4.5 inches diameter and 2.5 inches high

Fully worked front and back as well as across the unseamed arms, fringed cuffs and bottom perimeter. The arm consists of Germantown yarn and the red is unraveled flannel. Reddish brown sack mask to which are fastened three gourds, one on top and one over each ear, and painted reddish brown. Rag ruff. Kilt made from a woman's old dress. Body painted with red-brown clay. He carries a feather and a rattle. Koyemsi is the most common Hopi clown. He appears in Mixed Katsina Dances and sometimes a group of Koyemsi appear in a dance of their own. At First Mesa they are said to sing Zuni songs...
