Sophisticated sommerso shell form by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte in soft amber glass cased in crystal, with a generous interior layer of gold leaf. The shell contains a double layer of controlled bubbles which add an interesting visual texture. Measuring 5.5"x5.5"x2.25"h, the shell form is in great condition, with normal wear to the base consistent with its age, unmarked

Vintage Japanese burlwood stand of irregular shape, to be used for placing small objects during tea ceremony or display of okimono. Wonderful wood with supremely beautiful texture resembling swirling clouds, in excellent condition. Length 4 1/4 inches, width 2 3/4 inches, height 5/8 inches.

“48 star flag Arizona and New Mexico circa 1940’s, 60” x 96”, maker: Zerbe, some damage, From private North Carolina collection. United States flags mark the passage of time and when a specific State was admitted into the Union.  Arizona and New Mexico were admitted in 1912, Alaska was the 49 star flag in 1959. Therefore this 48 star flag was the flag of the nation for 47 years.

Lovely Japanese Musician Dolls, high quality dolls made in Kyoto. The faces of the dolls are different from each other and they have more delicate feature than shown on the photos. Their clothings are made from beautiful brocades specially woven for dolls. The color of red is deeper than shown here. The size of the two dolls are 6 1/4 inches tall and the other three are approx. 5 inches tall. Circa 1930 to 1950.

Large sterling silver scallop shell. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1947. Traditional form with dense and tiered flutes and 2 ball supports. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date code, and no. 40617. Very good condition.

Measuring 5 1/4" across & weighing 156 grams this 940 sterling silver dish was designed by Taxco, Mexico designer Hector Aguilar. The dish is centered with a 1951 coin with a HIDALGO profile. The reverse side of the coin features an eagle fighting a serpent. This candy dish is pictured on p. 67 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. HA, 940, TAXCO, & TALLER BORDA and eagle 9 hallmarks are found on the underside rim of the dish.

A large pair of Chinese ceramic fu dogs with a Sancai ware "three colors" palette in green, brown, and blue with natural clay white in a transparent crackle glaze. The large pair of fu dogs stand opposite each other, eyes faced forward, their mouths slightly open in a snarling grin. The front right foot of the male fu dog rests upon a rounded "xi qui" floral ball, representing rule and supremacy over the world...
