This is a really pretty pair of milk glass white Wild Rose and Bowknot Salt and Pepper Shakers made by Fenton Glass. These shakers measure 4 inches high to top of lids. Both shakers are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The original chrome lids are good. Be sure to search our other vintage shakers available. We guarantee items to be as described. Natsume in dark red lacquer, decorated with autumn leaves and cherry blossoms in hiramaki-e and nashiji. Interior in black lacquer.
Maple leaves (Momiji) are celebrated in literature for their beauty. Cherry blossoms (sakura) are symbols of renewal and the ephemeral nature of beauty. Embodying the flowers and leaves typical of autumn and spring, they are true visual spectacles to be admired during walk or a picnic...

A Zohiko covered soup bowl. Colorful leaf decoration sparsely applied on black ground with almost iridescent effect with gold and silver maki-e and red details. Zohiko mark in silver lacquer inside the bowl's foot rim. 20th century. Bowl diameter 4 9/16 inches (11.59 cm). Condition is relatively quite good with only a small abrasion to the lacquer on foot rim of the bowl. The lacquer otherwise is in good condition with no distress or wear of note...

Four Zohiko lacquer plates. Colorful leaf decoration sparsely applied on black ground with almost iridescent effect with gold and silver maki-e and red details. Zohiko marks in gold lacquer on the flat bottoms without foot rims. 20th century. Very good condition with only light rubbing on the bottoms (likely easily polished out by a professional.) 20th century. Diameters 7 3/4 inches (19.685 cm). He wears a clown's outfit of light-blue. He sits on a barrel, evidently singing while he plays his own accompaniment on an accordion. His light-brown hair is swept back from his face in a cascade of curls which reaches his collar.

His jacket has wide sleeves and a ruffled white collar, his trousers are bell-bottomed with turnups; His shoes are gray. ON each sleeve and each leg , as well as at the neck, he wears a large fluffy white button decoration...

Wooden urushi Bento-bako (lunch box) made in Wajima in Ishikawa Pref. Wajima-nuri has been made in the region since mid 17th century. It has removable two pieces for a partition between rice and dishes and one plate. In excellent condition except for some hairline in the bottom. 20th century. 25.5cm x 15.5cm x 6.3cm

A framed lithograph entitled "Horse" by the artist, Kaiko Moti (1921-1989). Moti was born in Bombay, India. He studied at the Bombay School of Fine Art and spent time living and working in Paris. He is most famous for his images of horses. This lithograph is signed in pencil and numbered 15 of 100. Framed.

Japanese 20th Century black lacquered tea caddy. The caddy comes in 2 parts, bottom and fitted lid. The caddy is made of wood and is covered in a smooth, black lacquer. The tea caddy measures 2 3/4" tall and 2 5/8" in diameter. Unsigned. No storage box.

Formal Indian Sari (just like the ones you see in Bollywood movies), worn for weddings or important religious occasions. This has never been worn. I acquired it from an estate where it has been sitting in a trunk for the past 20 years, and the inside humdity, which caused the brown dye to bleed into the embroidered border somewhat. Please examine images. This L: 5m x 1.4m and is handloomed silk. It was woven in Banaras in the two toned Tanchoi style and silver thread “jari” embroidery...

Oversized limited edition Japanese serigraph (silkscreen) print layered with special heavy textured inks to create a dimensional effect by Yukio Katsuda (b. 1941), pencil titled "No. 99," signed Y. Katsuda, dated '76, and numbered 57/100 on the bottom margin. Paper: 17 3/8" x 12 5/8” (image: 14" x 9 1/2"). Very good overall condition. Printed on thick laid paper with full margins. The original price of 12,000 yen is on the bottom right corner of the back...

A fine 20th century studio lacquer charger. Persimmon orange-red lacquer with decoration of peony blossoms incised to an under layer of black lacquer in the Kamakura manner (and possibly from one of the ateliers in that town which can still be seen and visited when trekking up the main street to the temples.) Gilt lacquered rim. Black lacquer also singularly exposed inside the foot rim. Good condition with light wear. Diameter 15 1/2 inches (39.37 cm)

Chinese Bamboo Wall Hanger, 3 1/4" high 15" wide with slightly curved, with five(5) separate hooks pegged into the main bamboo piece. Black cloth rope wrapped around the both end, that is part of decoration. The condition is good, ready to hang with brass eye screws on the top.
