Black swirls on background of burnt orange glass form this letter holder from a desk set series produced by Salviati in the late 1970's.
The piece stands 4 inches (10 cm) tall, 6 inches (15 cm) wide, and is 3 inches (7.6 cm) deep. There is a small, less than 1/8 inch (.3 cm), flake on the edge of the piece, but otherwise in fine condition. Circa 1975

Chinese blanc de chine porcelain statue of Quan Yin, the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion. Her name is short for Guanshiyin, meaning "Observing the Cries of the World." She is seated upon a large wooden seat and wears a gorgeous cascading robe with strands of beads adorning her torso and legs. In her right hand she holds the branch of a willow tree. She is extremely detailed and beautiful. Dates from 19th century.

When I looked up this Cobalt Stem made by the Huntington Tumbler Company, I didn't realize that they had two styles: "Ding" and "Dong" -- Really!! It's in the Hazel Weatherman's Book 2. We have three of these stems (Ding), all in mint condition.

Beautiful women's vintage silk cheongsam (or qipao) dress with gold trim and satin borders. It has water droplet shaped fasteners with gold swirls within, mandarin collar, and slits on either side. The first style of qipao emerged in the Qing Dynasty when the Manchu social group called the Banners came to be. Abstract print by well-known Japanese print artist Masao Ohba (born 1928). He won first prize in 1998 at the 17th Biennale of Contemporary Ex Libris in Malbork, Poland. His work is colorful with interesting textures. They are in good condition with no repairs or discoloration, except foxing, small stains, and a minor tear (as seen in the photos).
